Digital distribution retailer Direct2Drive is playing host to a pretty sweet deal for those who've been hesitant to pick up 2K's PC gaming offerings for reasons financial. D2D is offering a huge selection of their 2K Games catalog for half off until May 31. For just $9.95, you can nab Bioshock, Civilization IV, Serious Sam Gold, Prey and a few others -- or, for just $7.50, you can pick up the entire five-game X-Com series. That's $1.50 per game. If that doesn't blow your mind, you should really consider getting your frugality receptors examined.

Woah buddy, this pack includes the critically acclaimed mega hit; the game that convinced seven or eight thousand people, including professional Video Game Journalists, to consider games art.

How is D2D? I've heard bad things about their custumer support.

Update: Since i have an old DI-604 Router, my connection to certain things is a bit hard. So i bought X-com Apocalypse (which i had years ago) for 2,50 to see if it worked, and it works like a charm. I get a direct link download and it went smoothly at +-300KB/s.
I will be using this as an alternative to Steam.
Also, gamersgate magically started to work here :D

I checked out this deal on Direct2Drive and it seems that many downloadable games that are half-off contain the civilization PC franchise. The deals are pretty good considering your everyday prices up on the web and the local game store! Great Coverage on the Deal Joystiq!
