We got our first look at the vinyl-spinning peripheral for Activision's mixmastering sim DJ Hero earlier this month but -- well, they weren't very good pictures, were they? Just look at that framing. Terrible. Obviously, someone's never heard of the rule of thirds. Man, we learned about that photographic law during our extensive Pokémon Snap sessions. It's not that hard, people.
Fortunately, a sneak peek for GameTrailers TV's E3 coverage gave us a much clearer shot of the turntable periph, seen in the image above. We get a pretty good look at the crossfader attachment, as well as a sense of the controller's size in comparison to a human lap. Hopefully, we'll get an even better (and more photographically sound) look at the peripheral when we check DJ Hero out at E3 next week.

People always say this... It gets tiring to see... You don't have to guy it if you don't want to. You could just play the game at your friends' houses if any of them bought it. Also, y'all don't have to list out your plethora of peripherals. It ain't cool.

I mean you could sell one or two, did that ever occur in your noobish little non gaming mind???

Did I say anyone was forcing me to buy it? no, what I did say was I wouldn't be buying it... reading... it's pretty easy. I wouldn't be buying this even if it didn't come with a plastic turn table, I highly doubt any of this music is going to appeal to me in the slightest, that's why I own neither Frequency nor Amplitude; but will probably get Rock Band Unplugged. Really? 'noobish little non gaming mind'? well... you think whatever you like, I really don't care; but I'd appreciate you actually find out something about me before make incorrect, baseless comments like that... a lesson that'll serve you well in the real world by the way.
Anyway, I guess if this sounds cool to you it actually looks pretty well built from that, much better than the earlier pictures, but any DJ game wouldn't appeal to me at all so I'll be skipping this, not that that matters, it'll sell really well and there'll be plenty more DJ Hero games to come

I hope Microsoft does something interesting. With all this hype, if I'm disappointed, I'll cry.

I hope some new things are revealed at e3... we already know about mw2, odst, lp2, dr2, AC2, bioshock 2, dirt 2, borderlands, and a few others. Maybe some gameplay for Borderlands and ODST would be nice. As well some news for hl2ep3. Any new flight games like Crimson Skies 2? (I can dream right?)

I'm still not really convinced of the idea of the single turntable concept. Feels less like a "this will make the game more fun" decision and more of a "this will cut down on R&D and manufacturing" decision. Because we know if the game moves big units the sequel is going to have "now with two turntables for the most realistic experience you can get" printed firmly on the box cover.
Not saying it can't still be enjoyable, but if they really want to sell the fantasy of us fat slobs acting like djs, like they managed to do with GH, it's going to need more than one turntable.
Plus it's highly unlikely, but what I'd really love to do in it is be able to do some of the routines from Scribble Jam's winners.

Theres a 6 page layout in the new Game Informer that gives you a better shot of the controller than that.
