Kojima teaser site updates with ... Big Boss [update]

Another countdown has come to an end on Kojima Productions' now-infamous teaser site, and, in among flashes of lightning, the unmistakable face of Big Boss appears on screen. He looks older than he did in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and is wearing a beret bearing a patch which reads "Militares Sans Frontieres" (Military Without Borders).
In Metal Gear canon, Big Boss was part of Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP) in Vietnam during 1969 -- five years after the events of Snake Eater and one year before Portable Ops takes place. Will we once again be donning the Greatest Soldier's boots, this time on a sneaking mission in/during 'Nam? The new countdown ends just as E3 begins. Our anticipation? It's endless.
Update: A number of commenters (thanks, guys!) have pointed our attention to a Famitsu scan which shows, among other titillating images, a clear shot of Raiden, assumedly amidst the countdown page's thundering teasers. As techno-Raiden and Naked Snake can't really occupy the same period of time, we're beginning to think Kojima's "NEXT" big project is ... well, two projects. We'd love to hear your hypothesis after the jump (where we've posted a clip of said scan). The article's headline roughly reads: "[Interviewer:] Can I possibly publish this all? Kojima: Only if you blank out certain key words."

Who knows what the hell Kojima's thinking. As crazy as this is, it's not out of the realm of possibility that Raiden will either go back in time to Big Boss or vice versa. Kojima's crazy enough to make it happen.

here's my guess:
Raiden : Console version, most likely ps3 (metal gear raiden)
BIG BOSS: PSP, portable OPS 2

My guess is 1 project - covering MG1 + MG2. IMO, that isn't Raiden, it's Grey Fox.. I mean look at the face, far too dark and masculine to be Jack.
Would be cool if we got Grey Fox, BB and Snake as playable characters :D
Also, if the project were a PSP title, I doubt these high quality renders would have been created.

"im young".... and that's why you like Master Chief - he is a generic character and the series has a simple story. Once you hit puberty and grow up a bit, you may be able to comprehend a more complex story/game.

Well, at least it’s nice to know that he(Kojima), once again lied about the whole “This MGS will be the last, I swear!” thing.

Kojima never said there wouldn't be another Metal Gear. There won't be another Metal Gear Solid coz Solid Snake is about to die, but the whole world of Metal Gear stuff is still wide open for more adventures with different characters.

Yeah, I saw those to... aswell as E,3,e,S no L so far though, I have no idea what this means though, might have just been imagining it but it seemed that the R was more prominent than the other letters, it seemed brighter and may have lasted longer too... no idea what it means like... but Big Boss is awesome.

I really thought it was going to be about Raiden because.
The word "Raiden" (雷電, "Raiden"?) literally means "thunder and lightning" in Japanese. In the later half of Metal Gear Solid 4, there are various references to this, notably his dialogue referencing lightning when he makes his appearance right before Snake enters the microwave corridor. He also mentions that he was born on a rainy day - with a pessimistic tone - to which Snake replies that he is "the lightning in that rain.
He also says:
"I AM LIGHTNING THE RAIN TRANSFORMED"

Maybe we'll see/learn about when Raiden was growing up (a.k.a. mercilessly killing people at age 8).
At any rate, Big Boss is awesome. I loved Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Probably the best out of them all in my opinion.
David Hayter better be playing the voice or the game is already going to be gimped.
