Last Guy Trophies hitting US tomorrow, DLC next month

So, we were right! When we reported about Trophies and DLC for The Last Guy a few weeks ago, we just knew we'd be seeing the new content come our way. According to the PlayStation Blog, there are 15 Trophies to collect in tomorrow's free patch.

In addition to the patch, the first DLC for this PSN title will arrive next month. It will include eight more Trophies and three new stages. A price wasn't set, but we assume it won't be much. It definitely won't be free, either (because the Japanese one certainly isn't). It looks like Himalayan zombies are back, folks!

I wonder if it will be on sale anytime soon. I was going to buy it during the previous sale (fall?) but I missed it. I did enjoy the demo.

Yeah, both this and Echochrome were on sale, and now that they have trophies, I wish I'd have picked them up. It's not that trophies make the game, but in all seriousness, I found the demos to be entertaining, but they seemed like they'd get old after a while, but trophies kind of force you to keep at it and keep going.

When I heard about this game, I thought it was going to take Google Earth images and automatically build levels in them based on street data and such. I was pretty disappointed when I found out I was wrong, because that would have been a lot more interesting. :P

The fact that they had a promotional website that took any web page you submitted to it and randomly designed a demo level with it only added to the confusion. :P

Another reason why it won't be free: Free DLC can't include trophies. A game can be patched to include them, but additional trophies are only allowed in premium DLC.

I read it in an interview (I know, reliable!) but it's why you only see new trophies in Burnout Paradise's new packs, LittleBigPlanet's MGS4 pack, and Killzone 2's pack. It sucks, but it's also a way to get some extra play time with the DLC if you care about the trophies. Anyway, just a brief tidbit from me.

i think burnout bikes was free and got trophies but that was an earlier game. i can't think of much free dlc after the trophy system was put in place. i know the ps3 got some extra stuff free that had trophies in ports

good news, glad i grabbed it on sale. maybe i'll try for some this weekend.

HK version of the lasy guy updated already, but have to be restart the game from beginning, you can't use the old save to get the trophies

just played for a while, all the trophies are ??, that's mean unless you achieved the requirement, you won't know what it is....

after finished the 1-1, got one bronze, after 1-4, there are another bronze..there are a lot of trophies in this game
