GRIN sort of exploded onto the scene recently with Wanted, Bionic Commando and Terminator Salvation all releasing within a couple of months of each other. Like a star post-supernova though, it seems that the company might be shrinking in on itself. Kotaku's reporting that various sources have indicated to them that the company has let go of more than 100 staff members.
We're working on getting official confirmation from someone at GRIN, we'll let you know what we find out.

Why was he down voted?
Bionic Commando: Rearmed was all they had as solid work and that was a polish of a classic.
To be frank; The new Bionic Commando is lackluster at best while Terminator blows horribly and Wanted somewhere in between. Sorry but Grin may have some talented designers but their programmers etc are suspect at best.

That's because Terminator and Wanted sucked. HARD. I can't believe I'm even playing Terminator all the way through, even as a devoted Terminator fan this doesn't seem worth it, at least it has good achievements

It also didn't help that one of the developers for Wanted call the Wii a "fucking Genesis", and the whole 4 hour length thing.

Of those three games, Bionic is sadly the good one...

I enjoyed Wanted, who cares if it's 4 hours? CoD4 is 4 hours. Stop complaining. The time it takes you shouldn't matter as long as the gameplay is good, which it is. You can always replay it, and that adds more time to replay value. Getting collectibles also adds more replay value / time, so really, please, shut the hell up about it being 4 hours already.
Thank you.
Either way, kind of sucks, I really enjoy Grin, and I'm sure they don't have all that much staff to begin with, so the release of 100 really sucks. Hopefully they'll still be able to produce some quality games (B.C. is fantastic; as-is B.C.R., and Wanted is enjoyable; haven't touched Terminator yet).

Yeah, CoD4 had multiplayer, and Wanted did not.

CoD4 had collectibles (in a way, with the TV's and Intel; WaW had the cards) so it's not 20 years ago, if it's still prevalent in games today.
As for mutliplayer, not everyone plays the multiplayer. I usually play more single player than I do mutliplayer, and I'd rather have no multiplayer, than to have a botched multiplayer mode like The Darkness had.

just because a modern game has it doesn't mean it's an antiquated idea. Old people still dont believe in evolution or like black people

Dude, Bionic Commando came out at such a bad time. It is SUCH a fun game. The review was spot-on, although I think the overall tone was less positive than I would have written.
It does start out a bit slow, but slow didn't translate to "not fun" to me. The game starts out fun and just keeps getting better. Some of the fights in the game are so friggin intense. It's by far my #1 game of the year so far, and I'm about 75% through it.
Whatever you do, don't judge it by the multiplayer demo. The single player is so much fun it's crazy. The multiplayer is actually a lot of fun too, but it's more fun once you blast through some of the story first.
I honestly haven't had this much fun with a game in forever. At 23 years old, I thought the fact that I wasn't getting excited over games anymore was an age thing, but since I got the game and got a couple hours into it, I can't wait to get home to fire it up.
I hope Grin doesn't go under.

Agreed, learning to play bionic commando while getting spammed with bullets and zip kicks doesn't make you want to learn.
The single player really coddles you into learning the mechanic.

I feel bad for GRIN you know. It feels like all three of there big hits were ripped out of there hands. People like Rearmed because GRIN had all the time in the world to develop an Xbox Arcade game based an ancient NES game. They hit the big leagues, and they are given three relatively large properties, and tell them "you got six months to make these games." So I'm giving GRIN the benefit of the doubt, just cause I think they have enthusiasm, something a lot studios don't share.

I see that Grin still manages to keep all 5 gold teeth at the expense of the employees that got the pink slip.

As far as Im aware, this is fairly common upon completing everything you've been working on for several years, which GRIN just has. Why keep paying QA people and all the end of the line people when you have nothing in the pipeline close to needing them? You lay them off until you need them again.
That said, many of them will never be coming back as GRIN has likely lost some investors since releasing their latest projects. I don't think BC will live up to expectations and Terminator is junk. Not many studios can afford a flop these days.

Hopefully those 100+ were the assholes responsible for that crap 'Terminator' game and whatever that garbage with the bending bullet trajectories they called 'Wanted'
Hmmm, 2/3 games suck. 2/3 games were movie licenses.
Maybe GRIN would make some $$ if they stick to making real games like Bionic Commando.
At least terminator has dead easy cheevos... I just feel so unclean for having played it.
