Ubisoft has announced that its sequel to last year's multiplatform Shaun White Snowboarding is coming exclusively to Wii. Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and is planned for a holiday 2009 release.
The move to a single-platform release may seem surprising, but it's made less so when you consider that the Wii version of the first game outsold other versions by nearly a 2:1 margin. We've contacted Ubisoft for comment on the decision and to clarify whether or not this news marks a full-stop for the franchise on other platforms. In the meantime, start waxing those balance boards.

OH ho ho ho, dat is funny because the Wii's graphics are not as good as the graphics typically found on the PS3! But you made it sound like the Wii's graphics are superior! Ohhh yes!

Or maybe a remake of the first, but this time with fun
I have yet to play it with the Balance Board but it's slow and pretty boring, and the Wii Remote controls just aren't that great

Dope. The first one was incredibly fun to play using the balance board on Wii. I heard that the other versions weren't nearly as good anyway, so they should stick with their strongest suit. I'm suped!

It sucked anyways. Oh man I just realized I have a Wii! In a box in the basement for the past year for non playing.

Hope that box has a lid on it. The internet tells me those things get quite dusty!

The first game was actually decent, it's just too many people were scared away when it was announced at E3...
hopefully #2 will have a character creator like the other versions of #1.

Yeah, I kind of like their strategy. Seems like they are trying to hit every type of gamer, core and casual, with a nice mix of titles. They're not dumb. They see the money being made with the Wii and are going for it.
Here's hoping these games turn out great.
