These gamefly commercials are some of the most annoying things ever.
If you think this commercial is funny or cute try seeing it on your TV about 50
times a day, you'll change your mind.

You spoke exactly what was on my mind when I saw this thread.

The commercial is terrible and constantly plays. I hate it.

50 Times a day huh??? I've only seen it during basketball games......maybe you should watch other channels.....

I watch Discovery, TNT, USA, HDNet, History Channel, Science Channel......I suppose if you watch ESPN, MTV, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, BET, VH1, etc you will see commercials like that tons of times a day....

7 days!?!? where do you stay??

my shipping center is in PA and I get games in NC in under 4-5 days...

they DO need more centers tho....Maybe Netflix will buy GameFly and then it will be shipping centers everywhere

It usually gets here but when the next game in my queue is medium availability and they wait 2 days to ship it I get pissed. Especially if the timing makes it so I won't have it for the weekend.

Ha, gamefly is so bad, he thinks waiting 5 days for his game to arrive is reasonable.

gamefly is a great idea and all, but i have been waiting going on 2 weeks for a game to arrive at my house. so I've paid a half a months worth of subscription fees for nothing.

That's done pretty well and very truthful. That doesn't happen to me so much anymore since I read dozens of reviews before buying a game (well, except MGS4).

I actually think that's his reaction because he had to buy a game that he's been waiting to get from GameFly for the past 3 weeks.

Seriously, I just cancelled my subscription. Their availability for even older games is ridiculous.

I've gotten like that from waiting for Lamefly to send games. I live 3 hours from L.A. and it still takes a mother loving 4 to 7 days to get here and a lot of the time they don't even ship the top 5 games (when most are available) they ship the very bottom. WHAT THE FUCK IS THE ORDERING FOR IF YOU CAN'T FUCKING SHIP THE SHIT IN ORDER! BRWAHHAHHHH!! (Punches hole in wall)

You know what's another good way of avoiding buying bad games besides gamefly? Doing your research. It's why I haven't bought a bad game since I was a kid in the early N64 days. If you're smart enough and serious enough of a gamer to be on sites like Joystiq, then there's no excuse for you to have spent $50-$60 on a game that you end up hating.

Agree. Know your own tastes and keep close tabs on upcoming games, and there's no reason to be disappointed.

Word. Sometimes a game just doesn’t “connect” with you, though, no matter how well it's reviewed. The LEGO games are fun, and my girl loves them, but I just don’t feel compelled to play them. I feel the same way about Fable 2, as well. I played a bit, and I almost beat Fable, but the game doesn’t really pull me in. On the other hand, I’ve been playing the crap out of Far Cry 2, which I know a lot of people hate. Go figure.

Though just a bit more expensive, I find the 2 movie/game pass at Blockbuster a much better deal. Can't beat the convenience of getting a new game same day.

What about the good old across-the-room controller throw? You can infer a lot about a person's temper when they are really good at repairing controllers (cough, some of my friends, cough).

Don't buy a bad game again. Merely rent and play lots and lots of bad games that you have to keep adding to the bottom of your list to keep it the minimum required length, whilst waiting for gamefly's single copy of the one game you want to play to be passed around from person to person for months before you ever see it.

You can have one game at a time in your Queue. That's what I do, I'm finishing a game and have inFamous as my only game right now so I can get it sent ASAP.

GameFly Rocks.

Dom't blame them for the lame-ness of the USPS.

I have gotten excellent service from them over the past 4+ years I have been a member.

I'm a Gamefly member and I love the service. I sent my last game back on Monday and they shipped Infamous to me on Tuesday. It just arrived in the mail today. I've never had to wait more than three days for a game.

It's always refreshing to see gamers portrayed as violent and emotionally unstable. Thanks for bolstering the stereotype, GameFly!

You can say what you want about Gamefly, but it beats the crap out of trying to rent games from Blockbuster (or any other movie rental place). Blockbuster charges 8 bucks for 5 days and never, EVER has the game that I want. Gamefly might have a weeks turn around time but I still like it better. Plus, if you have the two-out-at-one-time plan you play one while waiting for the other. No worries.

That commercial is so damn annoying. To me its just scene after scene of dumb people who don't know how to read or use the internet so they can find reviews on good games.

Personally, it would be a lot funnier if they just showed one guy dousing himself in gasoline and lighting himself on fire.
