XSEED localizing Namco Bandai's Wii adventure 'Fragile'

When XSEED and Namco Bandai meet, wonderful things happen. The last Banamco title to be localized by the publisher was Retro Game Challenge. Today, XSEED announced to IGN that it will publish Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon in North America, with a projected Holiday 2009 release date. Wii fans have been clamoring for this game for a long time.

The tri-Crescendo-developed adventure game takes place in a ruined version of the modern world, as one young boy named Seto looks for any other surviving humans, armed only with a flashlight. XSEED plans to include a full English voice track, and has received "very promising" feedback from the development team about a dual language option.

This game and Muramasa are great examples of the games that I want to see on the Wii.

Cool news. If there doesn't end up being a Japanese audio track, I hope the English audio doesn't sound as cheesy as it did in retro game challenge.

They should localize the next Retro Game Challenge episode which is already released in nippon!

YES! No More Heroes 2 info, this, and E3 just around the corner, this is turning out to be an awesome couple of weeks.

...YES. Hahahahaha, I've been emailing them about this game non-stop, glad to see it may have helped! (along with everyone else I begged to bring it to their attention!)

I almost lost hope when they announced -Ju-On- over this, but wow. Cannot. Freaking. WAIT. Now just hoping they don't bail on it like they did with Muramasa...

That's great! I had pretty much given up on ever playing this so thanks to you and everyone else who e-mailed them.

Excellent! Between Klonoa, Cave Story, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, and Fragile, I will finally get some real use out of my Wii!

If you haven't browsed the gallery of screens, I really encourage you two. Some of the stills are really memorizing. Especially in the bedroom environments. Great, great graphics.

Supposedly great in the style of Eternal Darkness or the older Resident Evils. Good use of pre-rendered backgrounds.

Yeah, I got that too. And if that's what they have to do to make Wii games look more realistic or just more appealing to the eye, then so be it.

This game has the visuals down. Love the anime look, and love the cutscene screenshots. Can't lie that the blonde girl doesn't appeal to me a little too... =P

In all sincerity, however, this game seems a slight bland to me. I'll wait until it's released and I'll give it a chance, but my expectations aren't too high. Maybe it's just the screenshots, but I'm worried this will amount to walking, a lot, with little actual anything going on. I hope my fears aren't warranted.

Very curious to see more about this game's combat system. Never quite understood it from what i saw of the Japanese footage

....sorry. Anyway, this looks nice, and I've often said XSEED does good work. So all I really have to offer are bad musical gags.

Yes, this fills me with hope for third-party support of the Wii. However I am still at level "Cautiously Optimistic"

For a moment, I thought this was a game about the Fraggles.

THANK GOD! Now I don't have to mod my Wii to play this game! This plus Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Muramasa make me happy.
