EA reveals Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online
When you just read the name of EA's newly-announced Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online, you were probably hoping for the same thing we were: a massively multiplayer golf/RPG hybrid that rewards Magical Big Bertha drivers for completing timed raid instances.
Sadly, it's a golf game that you'll be able to play through your web browser on courses such as Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass and St. Andrews. There's no pricing announced yet for the fall release, but we know it will have a "multi-tiered subscription structure" and beta sign-ups are open now.
It sounds neat, but we can't help but be bummed we'll never get to putt grind for our epic golf cart.

Those graphics look real.

"Do I get paid now?"

I'll be surprised if this works. I personally can't imagine very many people subscribing to golf game.... especially a browser based game with a "multi-tiered subscription structure".

i was hoping for a persistent country club with pvp courses to chase other players around in carts with golf club duels

I'm a little disappointed, again, with the graphics. While slightly improved in the environment department, the character models still look seriously fake. I have the demo but could only stomach playing it, a little bit, once. I think that, by now, EA would have that part together especially when I look at some of the other sports franchises AND the fact that this is the 3rd year plus of current gen consoles.
While I'm not exactly a graphics whore, I'm a graphics whore. I think graphics are a somewhat important piece of the pie especially with the power of the PS3 and 360. I will play the demo again, sometime soon, but as of right now, I'm not enthused about this game.

We already have a "massively multiplayer golf/RPG hybrid" - Pangya - and it's a full 3D game not a web-browser game.

Tiger should be arrested for carrying concealed weapons all these years. Welcome to the gun show everybody!

I knew he was in rather decent shape, but damn if the picture doesn't make it look like he's sneaking pythons into the damn green. LoL
As for the article, seems intriguing - but my money's going toward Tiger-10 and the motion plus adapter.

Have you played the free "Shot Online?"

It's a golf MMORPG as well, but it's free. (You can buy things for real money, but there's no real point.) In addition, it's MUCH harder than Tiger Woods, which I see as a good thing.

Is that screenshot from the actual game or is just a pic of Tiger Woods?
Ok, I won’t say much about this video apart from this; it’s very, very good. Just watch it and see for yourself.
