Last night's E3ified GameTrailers TV gave us our first glimpse at the gameplay featured in Aliens vs Predator, one of three (four?) Sega-published Aliens-based games currently in development. While the cuts between the show's world exclusive-filled host and the game only serve to frustrate our urge for more Alien murderin', Predator pouncin' gameplay, we get what we get and we don't get upset.
As the clip of gameplay is sneakily embedded within an interview during the show, we've got no standalone clip to offer after the jump, but instead a suggestion to click right here to check out the thing for yourself. Be sure to rush right back and check out the full gallery of stills from gameplay just below in all their unmoving glory!

It's a shame predator never fixed himself a vision mode to detect both aliens and humans at the same time. Of course this would make the hunt easier and we all wouldn't want that. Game looks pretty damn sick! Will def keep my eye on it.

man those graphics are nowhere near as impressive as the screenshots they'd released before, oh well i guess those were pretty unrealistic expectations anyway. I'm not real sure about this game, I get the feeling that playing as a predator and alien would be a lot better in third person/

Well what's shown here is the 360 version, it is a possibility that those shots were of the PC version with higher res textures and extra post processing effects.
Not intending a flamewar, I don't care what system you own just play it and have fun with that, just care about games guys.

Is this going to have seperate campaigns? if so, I'm thinking if you play as a predator or alien, the human chatter should be garbled to because you wouldn't understand them, and have to figure out what they are doing.. maybe you 'learn' words/phrases throughout the campaign that clear up..
Think of it how if you hear foreign people talking together in they're own tongue, I used to work with indian people, they were always doing it, overtime you figure out a few things...
another note.. that Alien picture looks very basic.. I'd hope that's an early model, it looks rubbish..

the OXM article on it said that's basically what happens, you have separate campaigns, most of the story is gained through the human perspective, and as the predator you pick up scattered radio transmissions from the marines as well as simply eavesdropping from close by

I love that sound it makes when the Predator switches between his viewing modes. This game looks freaking sweeeeeeet.

I agree, now let's get naked and roleplay. I'll be the Predator and you be the Alien, the safe word is Ripley.

I can't be the only one who thinks that the whole Alien vs Predator universe is a giant bore. The movies sucked sooo bad, and I have zero interest in the comics.
But don't get me wrong. Predator 1 with Arnold is one of the greatest action movies of all time. "If it bleeds we can kill it."
The closest I want to get to playing Alien is being Zerg in Starcraft. Other than that, a big giant "meh" from me.

Yup. This franchise has been burned to the ground year after year by one more watered down and poorly executed cash-in movie or idea.
Another game? How many is that now? 20?
Alien was a horror film, now they make alien toys for 10 year olds. The Saturday morning cartoon, AVP cereal, Predator voice changer ... aren't far away.

Sugardaddy, did you play either of the two shooters for it that were on PC? If not you're just Fox News.

@Ihavepants: Did you even read my comment? Why would I play games that I have zero interest in? Aliens vs Predator is a tired IP in my OPINION. I don't fault people for liking it. I just don't... at all. I gave the movies a chance, but they sucked so bad. The second was even worse than the first.
And you calling me "Fox News" for expressing my opinion on a f'n blog is pretty laughable. What does that even mean? Do you even understand why Fox News is so highly criticized? Let me enlighten you. It's because they're not news. They misreport. They pawn off opinion as fact. And they quash debate. How has me clearly expressing what I was saying as opinion compare to any of that? It's not like I said "I've never played these games, but they suck". No. I said the IP is tired and boring.
