We're not sure if it was brilliant or just really, really annoying, but Ubisoft has finally doled out a trailer for Splinter Cell: Conviction piecemeal on a teaser site for the game. There's now a new (final?) portion and it's just as vague as the previous iterations.
So, Sam's been wronged, and now he's going to wreck shop on the parties responsible. If you need a slightly lengthier version of that same short story, click away.

Psst. Not that vague -- that's an aerial view of the LA Convention Center and the Staples Center. E3 anyone? :)

Yeah, and where does the trailer end? The Los Angeles Convention Center. Home of E3 2009 (and Star Wars: Celebration IV). Is it because that's where the convention is being held, or is it a location in the game?

I don't care about these teasers, I just want to see how they've changed the game since the early previews. As a huge fan of the original and Chaos Theory, I was expecting great things from Ubi Montreal. The early impressions terrified me though. I don't want a modern Assassin's Creed, I want to sneak around in the dark, choking guards and sniping corrupt politicians! I really disliked Double Agent, and I'm hoping some of the game (especially the multiplayer) returns to style of Chaos Theory.

A lot of people think these teasers were actually Sam talking to the fans of the SC series. Granted it could all be wishful speculation.
"maybe they did forget about me" - fans that lost faith because of the complete change in gameplay/delays
"maybe they didn't" - the still devoted fans
"but they sure as hell gonna remember me now" - The location they show is the LA Convention Center (location of E3).
"It was good enough for a while, when all I wanted to do was be someone else and forget everything that I had done, but that never lasts. You always come back to who you are. You always come back to what's important"
Could refer to the change in gameplay from light/shadow stealth to social stealth, and Ubisoft going back and remaking the game with light/shadow gameplay after the outrage over the change.
We'll find out in a few days I guess.

This and Alan Wake, either show up this year or just don't show up at all.

I've never been a huge fan of the Splinter Cell games so hopefully the games newest installment will be able to change all that!
