Well, [edited]... I've gotta be honest... I'm not the biggest fan of that whining wanker, but THAT was funny...

FYI, 3D Realms is *NOT* Dead ! Its been cut to size, thanks to financial issues, many programmers removed, but the core employees are retained. If 3DRealms gets enough Cash, they'd work towards finishing the game. Currently the game is on hold, and apparently 70% of the game has been completed.

There's a Signature petition hosted for the game ( abt 900 signatures): http://www.petitiononline.com/duke4eva/petition.html

And for More info on 3DRealms and Duke Nukem Forever, check this FB group, http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=97701010831 all info is provided by former 3DRealms employees.

Peace.

Nevertheless, BALLZ OF STEEL !

Because a "petition" signed by a bunch of whiny teenagers is going to convince investors that the studio and its 12 years of non-work is worthy of more money.

The game is dead. Time to move on.

70% done after 12 years? So mathematically it'll take what, 3.6 more years to finish?

If the game is actually 70% complete it makes absolutely no sense to scrap it now. If they can't finish it, then they certainly can't make any other games from scratch as that takes even more resources.

Unless they have a port job in line, or sell the Duke IP, the company is over. It's mismanaged every which way and really, what's the point in trying to turn things around now?

@ All the haterZ !

The Duke is far from his swan song ! He'll be romping your _handheld_'s before ya even know, he's coming Q4 2009.

And DNF *will* release, just check the facts before ya holler ! 3DRealms rejected a 30 Mil USD offer from T2 for the Duke IP.

Actually, it should take another 12 years when you factor in the loss of programmers.

So who else thinks it would be awesome to start a game first-person shooting terrorists in a military complex then four or five hours later find yourself at a restaurant on the moon making ravioli for an incoming wedding party, and honestly be unable to tell where any significant changes in gameplay took place?

Sorry, can't give my opinion. I'm still not able to beat the bouncer cyborg kangaroo, so I was not able to highjack the ice-cream truck to get on the space ship base incognito.

Any tips?

Did you remember to use the hexagonal key on the octagonal tea tin, turning it exactly 0.31 radians counterclockwise with the right analog stick? That part stumped me. Inside the tea tin is a small phial of toxic motor oil which makes the bouncer cyborg kangaroo fight MUCH easier.

If you think the moon-cooking part was awesome, wait until you get to the featureless yellow field populated by stick figures, and you get the... well, I won't spoil it, but it involves a chainsword.

The thing that actually made me laugh about that whole "review" is that fact that there are some people who were actually excited for Duke Nukem and wanted to play it. Now *that's* funny.
