Thats not EA.
But I admire your enthusiasm. NOW CURB IT. EA did not deliver imo. They still were good though. Execs and pr need to stfu so this never bites em in the ass. Microsoft would have made good if that promise was attributed to them.

hehehe I hope it comes out too. I think Icarus is just as plausible. I hope Punch-Out is a sign from Nintendo that they know people love their smaller franchises just as much.

I think you know our answer. Isn't that the point of this post? ;D

Seriously, though. Major disappointment.

A note about 'girlhood' while we're at it.

I watched this with a couple of girls (some friends... I know, it's amazing that I have girlfriends) and if EA could only have seen their reaction when they paraded those little girls out to show off what they think is connecting with the "Girl Gamer".

Believe me, it was not a positive one.

Well unless you hang around with several 8 year old girls I doubt those girlfriends of yours are their target audience. ;)

They should have gone on after Ubisoft instead of before. Then they would have looked awesome.

Off topic. When is Bethesda doing their bit? Also will Valve have anything else or was L4D2 it?

From a traditional hard-core gamer point of view, you would have to say that EA showing games like Pet shop and Charm Girls was a big disaster. But, from the point of view that EA is trying to reach out to an almost untapped source of revenue (young girls), you might want to wait and see before making a judgment. I know that games like this are typically scorned and dismissed by most serious gamers, but for those of us who have young daughters, believe me, it's not a bad idea. My daughter is 9, and I know that she would absolutely love Littlest Pet Shop on-line (we'd subscribe to the on-line service as well).
I don't know if E3 is necessarily the best place to showcase these games (mostly hard-core gamers), but I do think that it is going to pay off for them.

I actually think that EA had a pretty good show today. A nice variety of games that covered all the systems, and some good presentations (I've only seen the first 15 minutes of the Ubisoft presentation, and had trouble staying awake).
