It's been a long time coming, but the European PlayStation.Blog has confirmed that Sony's online cake-fest, Fat Princess, will receive a June release. Just in case you didn't notice, that's this month. While the release timetable is only confirmed for Europe, it's likely the PSN capture-the-princess game will find a global release.
In addition to Fat Princess, SCEE confirmed June releases for Trash Panic, Numblast and a Ghostbusters demo. PSP owners will be able to expect Ape Academy 2, Everybody's Golf 2, Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow and WipEout Pulse in the European PS Store.

Where are you based? If US: eBay. If Europe: Visa gift cards.

Rohan, you can use those Vanilla Visa gift cards. Check at gas stations and such. You can get a $25 card, then add $20 funding off the card to your account. After a few days (or so), the temporary $1 activation charge gets put back, and you can take the remaining $5 off the card.
You could also do something similar with the $50 version. I think they go to $100 as well.
Yes, in Canada (that's where I am, as well).

Archon,
Hey, genius, they're back ordered on the website, not in the stores. He couldn't buy one online because he doesn't have a credit card anyway. The link was just to show that they carry them at GameStop.

Wow, this game looks to truly justify the high price tag for the ps3 and appears to make FULL use of the cell processor. What a truly golden age of electronic entertainment.

But I mentioned the power of Cell, the game-changing, panty soiling wunderkind that brought upon us a true revolution in True High Definition gaming. Why the hate?

I don't normally spend money on Online only or Online focused games, but this actually looks like it will be fun.
Then again, I could always get it from someone through gamesharing :P

Vid,
You can just use the account to download the game and sign in on your own account to actually play it, so game sharing is definitely possible.

Yeah my friend and I gameshare with each other and all you have to do is just keep the second account on your ps3 and it will always work on your main account.

I realize this. I've shared games before. But some of the PSN games with an online component won't allow you to be online at the same time with a shared game. Even if you play under a different account PSN knows that it's the same game and you can't both be online at the same time. I don't know if the rule is still in place, but it used to be that if you took a game online from one PS3 you couldn't take the same game online on a different PS3 for 24 hours. That restriction may have since been removed, but that's how it was when Warhawk was released.
Maybe these rules are no longer in place or maybe Fat Princess doesn't have them, but it's something to keep in mind. Because if these rules are in place anyone that shares this game with you may not be so please they did when they find they can't play.

Whoa whoa whoa! Now wait a second... I jumped on the PS3 band wagon early, I love my PS3, I regularly read sites and blogs like this for my info, I would consider myself a PS3-fanboy but I seem to have totally missed this whole game sharing thing? Would you be able to link to me either a guide or just more info about game sharing? Seriously not being sarcastic or anything but this is the first I have heard of this...
Thanks!

You can do it with anyone, but I'm paranoid so I set it up with a trusted friend.

Well, I don't know of a guide (though I'm sure there is somewhere), but it's pretty easy. The key thing is you have to trust the person you share with because they need temporary access to your account. You can share most games with 5 PS3 systems (including the one you bought the game from).
So let's just say, for example, you and I were going to share games. What you would want to do is change your PSN password to something else temporarily and I would do the same. Then on your PS3 create a new user... it can be named anything. Then we would trade account logins. You would then log into the new local user your created on your PS3 and go over to where the PSN store is normally. There you should see the option to sign up for PSN since this new user hasn't signed onto PSN yet. Instead of creating a new account you would log in with the information a gave you. I would be doing the same with your information.
Once logged on go into the PSN store click the icon at the top that lets you see the download history. There you would be able to see everything I have downloaded and could click the "Download" link on any game we agreed to share. Once we're both finished we could then change our passwords back to what they used to be. It doesn't matter that we can't log into each other's account anymore because the games will work under any login. BUT you have to keep the new user you created when using my login on your PS3. If you delete that user then the games will not work under any profile.

Hope it's $10... Next week is the Bomberman Ultra release and I'm gonna file for bankruptcy anytime soon.

fish i had that exact problem last week..
I fixed mine myself though following this guide on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_Ic1_TY-GU
Its fairly simple and all it requires is some thermal paste (£5 from maplins), a heat gun (£20 from Argos) and a little patience.

He mentions that his fix only lasted for 3 months for him. Doesn't sound like a real fix.
Sony's repair prices are jerk-jobs. It's $150 in the US, and this is over 50% more.

I just hope they fixed all the bugs. I was a beta tester for this, and even though it ended, the game still had many obvious problems, like server stability issues and hit detection.
Well, i hope they fix it for the average consumer anyways, because reviewers will mention these issues and probably brings sales down. Even with the problems, the game is real fun, and very addicting. Will definitely buy it, can't wait.
