Microsoft has already said the prices will be the same as you can find at retail. The interesting thing when it comes to discounts is will this service work the same way Amazon is handling XBLA titles. Can you buy a code cheaper than what you could buy it on Xbox Live.

Microsoft doesn't have any Hard Drives large enough yet that would make that a great idea. I'm not going to buy multiple hard drives to store these games on. I'll pass...

I'm not buying a bigger hard-drive just to be overcharged for old games... Next. :p

Unless there's a significant benefit to the consumer, why would you purchase a full 360 game over a boxed copy which gives you physical media, lets you sell it/trade it, loan it to friends, collect etc.?

Hopefully this isn't US-only, because it might finally convince NZ distributors to stop working on 1973's exchange rate.

Fallout 3 is currently selling for the equivalent of $US85

Will someone please explain to me the appeal of buying Mass Effect on Live for $20 when it costs the same in stores, and you can re-sell it?

When I read this, my first thought was, "I guess I can't trade in my games at GameStop anymore for credit if I download them through Live." lol

Seriously though, and I'm not complaining at all, but I'm surprised no one's touched on that. I always look forward to seeing how much money I can get for my used games. With a download service like this, won't this affect the profits of GameStop and other retailers that sell used games? The only one who can sell a download is MS.

Oh well, we'll see how this plays out in August. Looking forward to seeing how good or bad it does.
