If you've played TF2, you'll recognize the noise the axe makes in the trailer. Same as the pyro.

I just picked up the first one last week, so this seems way too soon to me. Are they still going to support the first with DLC?

...and this was done with the source engine?

It looks pretty good, but it's about time Valve finds something new.

As long as it's still compatible with hammer. I'm in no rush for a new engine, I'm still mapping for the pre-HDR lighting source games.

I wish they'd just put their efforts into big expanion packs, I hope it's not a whole new game.. a plug-in expansion would be amazing.

Splintering the player base may be a bad idea.

I like some of the old maps alot, I have no doubt if I play the new ones I'll want to go back and play the old ones.

Or maybe having #2 contain all the content of #1, via import or something, ala Rock Band.

Mix and match characters would be cool too. We need Bill back.

A sequel to Left 4 Dead? Thank you, that was very necessary!

That's Rock Paper Shotgun, Mike, not Rock Paper Scissors.

...In other news, Left 4 Dead 2 looks awesome.

Everyone noticed, but the sun never sets in New Orleans. Why do you think the people there are so brown?

Why Valve?! Why!? I really wish this was just DLC. I just bought this game last week, and part of the reason I did was because of all the DLC that was promised. And for free too!

Far, far, far, to soon.

So there's still not even concept art for Episode 3. So in between the "short time to release" episodic games, we get 2 full games?

I want episode 3. I'll probably buy L4d2, but not until I get my episode 3

What, there's not such a thing as too soon for a valve or a zombie game period. Now for the price, if ppl pays full for half cooked games like resident evil 5 or terminator salvation why they woundt pay full for what seems to be a really good sequel? my guess is that we will have an orange box kind of thing whit these games sometime next year.

If any of you little poor monkey get between me and some sweet, sweet zombie chainsaw L4D2 action with you whining and complaining about "it's too soon", I will end you.

It's never too soon.

Wow...i can't say that i'm an avid gamer since the last system i bought was a gamecube and i'm pretty sure i recieved that as a gift. My bf made a huuuge mistake when he left his 360 at my house for a week with the L4D game. I feel ashamed to say that i have played that game NON-STOP. It seems awful when you go to thinking about it- omg i'm killing zombies which used to be real people, well video game people, and that's awful but damn is it fun. After googling my new found love...i can't believe all the controversy behind this game. It's insane...but i'm super excited about the sequel to this game and to my bf....he may not be getting his 360 back :]

btw does anyone else wonder what happened to all the animals and kids? i think that would just be the awesomest thing if they had like zombie dogs or something

oh and how come the gunshots don't attract zombies? their supposed to be sensitive to loud noises.. hellooo
