My friend almost bought an Xbox 360 just for this game, but now that it's coming to PS3 there is no need for him too. I'm sure he'll really enjoy it.

Calling it now... Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is GOTY 2010, or 2009, whenever it's coming out.

I mean, NG2 was so wonderfully crafted.. Just ask Ludwig.

I was in the same boat as your friend too Caveman...

@ Flit - as much as I love NG.....I doubt it will make GOTY (2009 has MW2, U2 and possibly GOW3....and 2010 has FF13 and some BS MGS game)... now that I really think about it, it will not make GOTY. u_u

Because even in Rachel's case, most of the time, they aren't going to see their face.

Oh snap.

Not to add fuel to the flame but I think it needs to be said. Those graphics look a bit dated especially now when developers are pretty much at their peak in terms of what they can do with the hardware.

This game just doesn't feel the same knowing that Itagaki isn't leading Team Ninja anymore.

Well the character models are pretty sweet still, but the environments are rather bad. Good lighting though.

At the peak? Now, now, didn't the last generation teach you anything? Developers didn't crack the PS2's potential until fairly late into its life with the God of War games and the games for Xbox were looking increasingly more appealing as time went on, even when it was on its death bed. I still think there are going to be new games that put even Metal Gear Solid 4 and Killzone 2 to shame this generation.

However, I do agree. This looks like it should have been a launch-PS3 title.

Looks good but the big will be optimization. If it runs similar to the original Sigma on PS3 it's going to be one hell of a hack n slash action game. The 360 version of NG 2 was a good game but wasn't a finished product. Hopefully, they add more features in addition to the already announced co-op and eliminate bug & camera issues. Maybe we will get to see an actual demo tomorrow.

Eh? Ninja Gaiden 1 on the original Xbox still looks better than a great deal of 360 games...

With the addition of 3 more playable characters, I would think that it would saturate the storyline.

Noooooo my money is getting spent as I scroll down this page. Red Faction, NGS2, Assassin's Creed 2 (which is coming out the same day L4D2 is), Dante's Inferno (I read the book), and Modern Warfare 2.

$$$$$$ cha ching.

I think its kinda disgusting really having Rachel dressed up like that. I mean who the hell fights half naked in battle. I think they really went over the top with her.

I gave on 360 NG2 less than halfway through. The numbing, constant stream of enemies, dull gameplay and environments, and unacceptable graphics (shouldn't they have had some new graphical tricks up their sleeve by 2008?). Maybe the PS3 version will be better.

Even though you speak the truth, there are morons who will never come to grips with that reality.

I guarantee that every boss fight in this game will be -
-direct attack you have to dodge
-spin attack you have to jump over
-powerful attack if you stay too close
-extended attack (almost always fire) that leaves them vulnerable for 4 seconds

repeated at 5 second intervals, with maybe one extra super move you can't dodge

it seems 90% of boss fights in this type of game follow this formula. I'm really tired of it.
when will we get to fight giant monsters that actually behave as they would if they were real, i.e moving and attacking constantly but slower than a normal sized creature so you actually have to use some skill, and always facing you - if it can't turn its body quickly enough it should at least turn its head, make it seem like an actual living thing for god's sake!!
it shouldn't be possible to run round the side of it while it just sits there staring into space!

the fact they made a big display of this in the damn trailer doesn't give me much hope for this game
