Peek at Left 4 Dead 2's first poster/level: The Parish
46
Check out the first "poster" artwork for one of Left 4 Dead 2's five levels, titled "The Parish." It's good, fitting nicely into the game's New Orleans setting but ... well, we're not sold on the subtitle. "This time it all goes south"?
How about "The Parish: Pray for survival" ... or "The Parish: Kneel and slay"? No? Not working for you?

Francis hates the south...that's why he's not there

Francis hates that you feel that way. The mechanic reminds me vaguely of the scout. It would have been funny of valve to do a non-toon version as that character.

My brother and I were going back and forth if this should be a new game or if it should have been an expansion. I'm still not sure but unless they add lots of new features that it's necessary to sell it as a sequel. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens with this one.

Which one's Fred Savage? Guy on the right is a total Scott Weinger. I want to say the one on the left is Mark Strong...

The above is an actual quote taken from a friend and fellow Texan, who has a hilariously thick southern drawl. All of my friends have taken to screaming "Oh fuck WIATCH!" because of him.

Parish being a "county" in Louisiana, thus the "going south" subtitle.

this is VALVe not failvision. Creating games is an artform and not a pimping business.

I for one wish that they had just supported the original Left 4 Dead. I'm sure they're not using a new engine for this so why not release it as an expansion? I'm afraid that Valve is starting to turn into some other game developer who releases sequels every two years and thats not cool.

The guy in the suit looks just like Edward Norton. Perhaps the mechanic is his alter-ego?

What's wrong with the subtitle, "This time it all goes south"?
I mean (while not as good as "Their flight just got delayed. Permanently"), for the first poster, since the game is set in Louisiana, I think the subtitle is perfect. It has the same cheesy double entendre as the previous posters ("going south" meaning "getting worse," and "going south" as in, you know, the new setting), and it has a B-movie ring to it.
Again, I'm not saying it's the best...but it's appropriate, I think, for what they're trying to convey in the first unveiling of the game and its new setting.
