PrE3view: Monday, June 1, 2009 (Day 2)

Okay, so E3 proper won't technically start until tomorrow, but that doesn't mean we have a dearth of journalistic activities lined up for today. We've got a few huge press conferences to attend today, including the first appearance of one of the Big Three. Will Microsoft unveil its oft-rumored motion camera technology? Is Metal Gear Solid 4 coming to 360? Will we hear shocking revelations about the Zune HD? Will J Allard bite the head off a live chicken? We'll find out in just a moment.

Here's our schedule for the day! Make sure you hang around for teh scoops, and what have you.

Monday, June 1, 2009 (Presented in Eastern Standard Time)

1:25 pm -- Microsoft Media Briefing (get your Bingo cards out, folks!)
3:15 pm -- Xbox Live Panel with Marc Whitten
4:00 pm -- EA Press Conference
7:00 pm -- Ubisoft Press Conference
12:00 am -- Guitar Hero Special Event (with special, secret guests)

I have a feeling they'll unveil Perfect Dark XBLA and it will be ready to download immediately or after their conference (sony and ms like to do that stuff).

They'll probably announce MGS 4 sub-whatever, but hopefully that's not their end of show megaton...because a port of a year old game isn't that big of a deal.

I'm really hoping the Rare game is Blast Corps 2. I know that will likely never happen, but a man can dream.

They'll also waste a lot of time unveiling some new halo game, because we can't have a MS conference without talking about halo :(

They could've talked about it, Bungie actually back peddled on it since MS was wanting FF13 to steal the show so ODST announcement was delayed till TGS.

Personally, I'm hoping for Zune HD related news above all else.

I've yet to take the iPod/Zune plunge, so the Zune HD could end up being the deciding factor.

if i'm watching this (i don't own a 360... sooooo) i would go to ign, i watched sony's confrence live from there last year, on a bad connection, and i got great quality.

Gamespot.I read somewhere Gametrailers was going to stream the conference but I don't see it on their site.

Gametrailers is supposedly streaming in HD, but they haven't set up any early access to it.

I think I watched IGN's last year, was decent enough for quality and you could preload the page.

I only care about Guitar Hero/Rock Band info, so I'll be tuned in at twelve. Sounds very exciting. Hopefully they will confirm David Bowie as an in-game character.

There isn't going to be any BGE&2. It's going to be Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, RUSE, Rabbids and a few others but no BGE. Sorry. I'd be happy for a new Ghost Recon announcement though :)
