Mr Khan @ Jun 1st 2009 10:59PM
I remember they said originally that it was set for September, before they slated it for the vaguer release date of "Fall"
Now i just have to hope that Nintendo's late-year schedule fits around this. I would hate to have to miss it.
Fo0dNippl3 @ Jun 1st 2009 11:07PM
"...and April (now a katana-wielding ninja)..."
Someone didn't see the most recent Ninja Turtles movie.
THE WICKER MAN (BWF) (GT: Dalek Prime) @ Jun 1st 2009 11:18PM
Which is a shame, since it was good.
Blank-Mage @ Jun 1st 2009 11:45PM
Leo Vs Raph = GLORIOUS.
TwEE @ Jun 1st 2009 11:14PM
Rocksteady and Bebop better be in this!
Fo0dNippl3 @ Jun 1st 2009 11:20PM
Agreed!
Random G @ Jun 1st 2009 11:28PM
A TMNT smash bros clone? Really? I'm not saying that it's going to be a bad game, I just don't think that the ninja turtles are still culturally relevent. I know there are still fans around, but are there enough to support this game? I doubt it.
Jason Statham (Aka Vegeta) @ Jun 1st 2009 11:32PM
" I just don't think that the ninja turtles are still culturally relevent"
Yeah they are. Why else did they just have a movie. A movie that did fairly well. Also the cartoon series. So yeah, they are stil relevent.
THE WICKER MAN (BWF) (GT: Dalek Prime) @ Jun 1st 2009 11:39PM
I am controlling my nerd. They are relevant to me the same way star wars, gi joe, and more are. Part of my childhood and also Mirage comics made indie publishers plausible. I read TMNT and Tales of the TMNT to this day.
Massmass @ Jun 1st 2009 11:41PM
I understand where he is coming from. They haven't done the series any true justice in a while. I mean, yeah it squeaks by but it could be so much cooler than they made it out to be.
Still, until everyone who enjoyed the original series has died, there will always be a place for a bucket of ooze.
Blank-Mage @ Jun 1st 2009 11:47PM
Wicker Man, you give me a high five RIGHT THE HELL NOW.
THE WICKER MAN (BWF) (GT: Dalek Prime) @ Jun 1st 2009 11:52PM
*Throws three-fingered highfive*
(whew...that was a...SHELL OF A GOOD TIME!)
TwEE @ Jun 2nd 2009 11:37AM
"I know there are still fans around, but are there enough to support this game? I doubt it." I KILL THE NON-BELIEVER!!
Massmass @ Jun 1st 2009 11:40PM
Looks and sounds very homebrew like.
Roto13 @ Jun 1st 2009 11:51PM
Isn't this by the Smash Bros. team, minus Sakurai?
TwEE @ Jun 2nd 2009 11:39AM
Some of the Brawl guys are working on it.
isotrex @ Jun 2nd 2009 12:24AM
Oh man, not another Smash Bros. rip-off. Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan of TMNT. But, making it in a smash bros. style of game is kinda getting old unless of course there's something new in it that hasn't been done before. Well, might as well check it out when it releases. It could kick ass... or not.
Yatcho @ Jun 2nd 2009 1:29AM
Name 2 Smash Bros. clones.

wud_e @ Jun 2nd 2009 9:24AM
I was going to ask the same thing Yatcho. Nothing comes to mind. Who cares either way though this game looks to be great.
TwEE @ Jun 2nd 2009 11:43AM
Guys the walls of time and space are thin here at joystiq. Theres a very good chance he comes from another dimension where Smash Bros clones have flooded the market..
Dont rule it out.
isotrex @ Jun 9th 2009 10:31AM
Well, there's Onimusha Blade Warriors and this one... and all the SSB games starting from SNES. That's all I could think of. I hate it when games are ripping off other games. Cause most of them doesn't really appeal of got bad reviews. In short, it ends crappy. But hey, let's just wait and see. Maybe this game will rock... or maybe not. Also, since there's no original idea left in this world I guess and "The Simpsons Already Did It", SSB developers should be proud of this.
And you know what, ripping off and cloning other game and just changing some small elements isn't fun anymore. That's what SSB is supposed to be - unique in so many aspects. I'm pretty sure in no time many other clones will come judging from the successes of SSB series.
isotrex @ Jun 9th 2009 10:37AM
not SNES... I mean N64. xDD
isotrex @ Jun 18th 2009 3:17PM
Oh I forgot there's Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble too!
Somehow I'm skeptical about SSB clones since most of them fail.
Nothing beats the original I guess.
Still, they're welcome as long as they don't disappoint us and they're totally worth our money.
Atlantis1982 @ Jun 2nd 2009 3:21AM
Honestly, all I want to know is if the TMNT 4 Remake is coming to WiiWare, and I really don't have much interest in this game.
Windmill @ Jun 2nd 2009 3:34AM
PS3 plz

Freestyle Farfetchd @ Jun 2nd 2009 4:25AM
I'm looking forward to this one, albeit apprahensively. It should be good, but I'll wait to see what the reviews say.
wud_e @ Jun 2nd 2009 9:19AM
I can't wait to get this game!!!! Well for my son I mean of course.........or is it? :)
Kenaf @ Jun 2nd 2009 9:45AM
Hope it does all right, considering it releases the same day as Halo 3: ODST. :/ Gotta love Ninja Turtles.
