Splinter Cell: Conviction trailer doesn't need to hide
Unless he's hiding at full speed down that hallway, or in that plate glass window.

It was pretty obvious he isn't free from the agency, if you actually LOOKED at the trailer.
Seeing as how no top-secret agent training program and facility allows their agents to run-wild, else they'd be the laughing stock of every government in the world, and every government agent as well.
No they will definitely have teams to take down Same and bring him back or imprison him (similar to like in Mission Impossible) and they will be competent, the only issue here is what will make them NOT want to scrap him, as while he has been useful, he's beginning to become more trouble than he's worth.

It looks more laong the lines that Sam ends up taking Third Echelon on in the end. Me thinks they might have had something to do with his daughter's death after all...
The Baron @ Jun 1st 2009 10:03PM
Sam's too much of a dude to get caught by elite government agents.
Also, I'm horrified by this abrupt genre change for the series.

"who said anything about HIDING?"
I might have a completely gay crush on sam fisher (no homo)
Sly, King of the First Isle of inFamous [PSN SniperChameleon] @ Jun 1st 2009 11:04PM
no homo? so i guess it's a completely happy crush on sam fisher?
Michael @ Jun 2nd 2009 4:36PM
I have a completely gay crush on him (yes homo). I'm so glad they ditched the terrible emo look.
THE WICKER MAN (BWF) (GT: Dalek Prime) @ Jun 1st 2009 9:59PM
Fukk yes!!! Double Agent was interesting, but I like the fact that this character keeps aging and evolving. (though its more like The Bourne Fisher)
fischju @ Jun 1st 2009 10:00PM
PC tag, seriously guys. They announced it would be on PC this fall, and you don't mention it at all.
Cosmo @ Jun 1st 2009 10:04PM
What can be said that the PC doesn't count much on Joystiq. But happy to see its coming to the PC, afraid it wasn't when it was announced as a "360 exclusive".
The Baron @ Jun 1st 2009 10:04PM
There is no PC tag. There's an Xbox one because this story is also being run on the Xbox section of the site. There isn't a PC spoke of Joystiq (there is however a sister site, Big Download), therefore no PC tag.
I'm a PC gamer, and I don't find logic offensive.
fischju @ Jun 1st 2009 10:06PM
That post was meant to reply to mine above vv ^^ - (hope this on replys too, I clicked the butoon..) and also, Joystiq never really says what platforms a game will be on, you have to basically look at the tags.
Foetoid @ Jun 1st 2009 10:06PM
PC This fall!?
Every time i hear about a game i want to buy a 360 for, it's on PC, which i already have a gaming PC. I'm still getting a 360 no doubt, but when Terminator Salvation hit Steam, i had a nerdgasm (then read the reviews). I'll buy this game on PC now for sure, tho games like this are usually more enjoyable with a gamepad. Argh! Need monies for gamez.
Cosmo @ Jun 1st 2009 10:08PM
Metal Gear Solid: Rising is also coming to the PC, YES!!! Looks like when a game is announced as a "360" exclusive, there's a good chance of it coming to the PC. Holding my breath for MGS4 to come to the PC. : )

fischju @ Jun 1st 2009 10:14PM
Almost all games that are also on 360 (which is most big PC games now) have full support of the 360 gamepad, and the exact same control scheme (and even the opo-ups that tell you what control does what are the same) as the Xbox version. I use one for just about every racing and third party game.
AoE @ Jun 1st 2009 10:20PM
@Foetoid,
Get a wired Xbox 360 controller, plug it into your PC, enjoy the best of both worlds :)
fischju @ Jun 1st 2009 10:05PM
So there could be a PC tag that linked to Big Download, it makes sense.
The Baron @ Jun 1st 2009 10:10PM
Ah, but xbox.joystiq.com literally runs the same story - it's like putting a filter on joystiq depending on which platform you want to hear about, and the tag is just a way of showing that this content is on that.
Big Download however writes its own stories, so a PC tag would link you to a site with a different write-up of the same story, that may or may not have been written at all.
fischju @ Jun 1st 2009 10:45PM
Ok, but before the redesign they did have the nice tag system, and that included a PC one, and it was extremely useful. If you go to just about any post now regarding a game, short of going to wikipedia or another site there isn't a way to know what systems it is on.
Misfit Toy @ Jun 1st 2009 10:14PM
HE'S NOT EMO!
lanceyami03 @ Jun 1st 2009 10:20PM
Of course he isn't elmo. Elmo is red.
dagamer43 @ Jun 1st 2009 10:20PM
That previous 15 second trailer was definitely leaked on purpose. Without a doubt.
rv @ Jun 1st 2009 11:46PM
Man, I am gonna go play sc3 now. That is one of the greatest games ever, with some of the best coop as well.
ice~ @ Jun 2nd 2009 12:08AM
lol yes, its a happy crush, not a homosexual crush O.o
ice~ @ Jun 2nd 2009 12:08AM
WTF that was supposed to be a reply...now this comment looks really strange floating in the middle of nowhere...sweet
Misfit Toy @ Jun 2nd 2009 12:43AM
Good thing there's not that many posts then :-)
PhilipJFryrish @ Jun 2nd 2009 12:27AM
It's just good to hear his voice again.
SicTransit2 @ Jun 2nd 2009 1:40AM
really disappointed in this new trailer. i loved the idea of running from police, blending in with crowds, using the world as your cover instead of shadows. now they just turned it into another run of the mill "cover mechanic" shooter. i wish they had stayed on track with the original concept.
Snatcher (MDF - Halo Ring) @ Jun 2nd 2009 2:14AM
I think this looks awesome. No gameplay seen yet of course, but the storytelling is very compelling.
Tann @ Jun 2nd 2009 11:53AM
This trailer looks kick ass!
