Your Shape determines your shape with a camera

It's a good thing Ubisoft is being so innovative here -- the Wii fitness market is virtually untapped so far. Could a game with a casual interface designed with the promise of a more healthier lifestyle actually sell? We'll have to wait and see -- the bundle is due out sometime this year.

I'd like to see the cam use some video chatting or something. I'm fit enough as it is, i don't need to play a fitness game.
Mr Khan @ Jun 1st 2009 10:29PM
And so ends Microsoft's reign of hype. It lasted only 7 hours.
Though this'll see limited use, it beats 'em to the punch by a solid year.

Can't wait to see if my wang is slim or sloppy!
Hooyah @ Jun 1st 2009 10:37PM
Depends if the camera has a zoom function to even register it

Ooh, I felt the heat from that burn. 8/10
Velsar @ Jun 1st 2009 10:30PM
You're an idiot Mr. Khan, first off this camera only really reflects weight and shape, it doesn't use facial recognition, 3D render mapping, or any of the technology in project Natal.
I hate idiots...
NAtal while still a vision, with limited technology is very plausible, especially in the hands of Microsoft and all its money.
Mitch @ Jun 1st 2009 10:32PM
You hate idiots -- like the ones that don't know how to use the reply button?
ArchiGamer @ Jun 1st 2009 10:33PM
@ Mitch
Yay Irony!
Doombot (zuburi) @ Jun 1st 2009 10:34PM
Decent burn, except the beneath the fanboyism (belied with the use of the word "vision") lies a very good point.
I'll give it a C+.
Velsar @ Jun 1st 2009 10:35PM
I hate the reply button, half the time it doesn't work and so I don't use it, plus I prefer my statements to be bigger rather than smaller.
Velsar @ Jun 1st 2009 10:37PM
I own every console, it's not possible for me to be a fanboy, but I do treat things properly and I do refer to things intelligently, instead of idiotically like you and that other person up there.
In any case, your ratings and grades don't bother me or even make sense, it wasn't a burn, only the truth, and finally people give too much credit to the term VISION, when all it means is that they had an idea, they had some technology, and they make a plan of it...
I hate idiots.
Mr Khan @ Jun 1st 2009 10:38PM
It was a reference to all that "wii-killer" nonsense spewing about immediately afterwards.
ArchiGamer @ Jun 1st 2009 10:39PM
"I own every console, it's not possible for me to be a fanboy.."
Trust me, yes you can.
Velsar @ Jun 1st 2009 10:45PM
Okay fine, I own all the consoles, I own games for all the consoles, I've experienced most of the hardships for all the consoles as well as from all the companies that they are associated with, and I like particular games for all the consoles.
I like ME, Lost Odyssey, and KOTOR for the Xbox.
I like Resistance 1 & 2, and MGS4 for the PS3, as well as Naruto Ninja Storm.
I like Metroid Prime Corruption, Twilight Princess, and Mario Galaxy for the Wii.
I prefer the 360 at MOST points, though I like my Wii when it has a reason to use it.
As such since I'm not just stating things for mere fanboyism, it's obvious I'm not one.
In any case, my typing responses after this no longer has any current additional purpose, so I'll go sign up for PrimeTime hopefully, and win me some content points, maybe.
I need to get Infamous, is it worth it? Prototype doesn't look like it.

Actually, Velsar, we don't know exactly how specific this camera is compared to Natal. For all we know, it could do pretty much what Natal can do, minus the voice recognition. But it must have SOME kind of recognition abilities if it can read your body shape, and translate that information into an image on screen. And then translate that image into a suggested set of exercises. And then, if they can figure out a way to combine this Ubisoft camera with WiiSpeak, maybe it COULD do much of what Natal can do, only coming out a good bit sooner. We have to wait and see more to determine that kind of thing. I will admit, I am a Nintendo fan, but I was very impressed with what I saw of Natal earlier today.
Shagittarius @ Jun 1st 2009 10:33PM
I wonder what body type it would think I have if I just took a close up shot of my junk...probably short and fat.
Alex @ Jun 1st 2009 10:33PM
I'm going to nominate Ubisoft's conference as the worst E3 conference ever.
ArchiGamer @ Jun 1st 2009 10:34PM
I hope there is use of this after the game...
Sheppy (of the Fidlious Clan of Wong) @ Jun 1st 2009 11:56PM
YAY! EyeToy Kinetic Pink!
Gun Barrier @ Jun 2nd 2009 12:36AM
But since its a fitness game on the wii, This one will actually sell!
Yay!
kevin @ Jun 2nd 2009 7:22AM
Since I work out in real life, these games have never really been of any interest to me.
But now that Ubisoft is on it...can we get Rabbid Fitness? Now THAT might be worth playing, even if only to see those little guys grunting and groaning while they get overworked.
