Dead Space Extraction's E3 Nintendo press conference video
Nintendo's press conference was mostly designed for "a wider demographic," but there was some visceral violence from Visceral's Dead Space Extraction during the show. Check out the video above and try to survive.

Every time I see one of those monsters I think of that noise the heavy makes in TF2 when he eats a sandwich. OM NOM NOM!

Best trailer of the game I've seen so far. But really, didn't they have any unannounced 3rd party games to show?

Strange there was no mention of Monster Hunter Tri. Or did I miss something...
Pimliconite @ Jun 2nd 2009 1:48PM
And where the fuck was Sin & Punishment 2?
Mr Khan @ Jun 2nd 2009 4:41PM
S&P2 is there on the show floor. Apparently set for 2010, like all the other awesome stuff coming out of the show :(

The graphics look decent, unfortunately it's rail shooter, isn't it?
Kenofthedead @ Jun 2nd 2009 1:34PM
Yeah, rail shooter.
But come on, it's not exactly like you did a lot of running around or backtracking in the original Dead Space. It was all go forward, get back, and sometimes stand in a door frame so they can't hit you.

LOL yeah that was a nifty trick leave the room and they can't follow, especially with that mega-monster that regenerated.
Manly Mcbeefington (Mr. ESC) @ Jun 2nd 2009 1:36PM
Well with all due respect Reggie I already know how it started I have read all the reference material but the time line is all messed up and the horrible animated movie could be set in a parallel universe for all that matters.
I hope this isn't about other ship it would be great if the main character was Isaac's wife.

The last time there was genuine choice in the rail shooter genre was the Dreamcast - I never owned a PS2. Never did I envisage a renaissance this generation. It's so cool.
Granted this title - alongside RE:DC - had been long been announced, it's still rather nice that Nintendo decided to throw its focus on this duo rather than other, more expected, efforts.
Hopefully we'll hear about Sin and Punishment later on in the week, though.
Kenofthedead @ Jun 2nd 2009 1:45PM
I think they have booths for people to play Sin and Punishment 2. So we should hear about hands on by Joystiq.
LegendaryRedass @ Jun 2nd 2009 2:05PM
It'll definitly have more of those oh shit moments. That's if they keep the parts where you get ganged by 20 necros. That might be a little difficult to manage on rails.
Dead space is so freaking cool, everyone should experience it. Even if it is neutered.

I was watching the conference on G4 and I really liked this in action. Rails or no, I might go for this one.
