I played through Fallout 3 and enjoyed it, but I'm not going to buy a bunch of these piecemeal DLC packs.

I'll wait until they are all bundled on a Game Of The Year disc, and trade for a used copy of that. Then I can play through all of the content at once.

The Broken Steel content was actually worth it I thought. Didn't bite on Pitt or OA. I'm waiting for info. on P.O. As a MD resident, I'm intrigued by the world Bethesda has created so close to home.

I have completed all of the main missions from all of the DLC released so far. Broken Steel is far and away the better add-on - but only because it removes the level cap and adds in more perks. Of the missions, I think The Pitt was my favourite.

To be honest, anything that keeps me playing the game is welcome, no matter how piecemeal. More so than any other game, I really feel like I squeezed my money's worth out of Fallout 3, and the DLC helped a great deal with that.

Dude thats not going to happen, also you don't have to get all of them, just get PL and BS, those of the ones with the ability to carry on the game and levels (BS) and a full new huge map (PL)

Definitely, the more open-ended environment is much needed for this. Even though I can go back to the Pitt, I never find myself going there, because outside of ammo and teddy bears, there's no real purpose. There was basically very little else to do in terms of mini-quests, unmarked quests etc. This looks like it might be more interesting to come back and visit and interact with.

Plus it sounds like it's going to be survivalist heavy themes (based on the bombs not having hit there) so there should hopefully be some very good dialogue trees, Easter eggs, and some unique looking environments.

Broken Steel, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta are apparently scheduled to ship only on the GOTY edition of Fallout 3, IIRC.

It's only 360 according to the tags, the joystiq article doesn't say.

I assumed it was PS3 due to it's placement with the Sony announcments, but if you look carefully...

Joystiq clarify??

All DLC will come to PC, PS3 and 360, though I think the PS3 gets them later than the 360/PC.

All I did was go around and kill a few things... was pretty easy to get from 28 to 30... especially if you used the instant level up once.

With my specials at high levels or at 9 or maxed, with all other skills at 100 aside from sneaking, and with my having every GOOD perk already, there was nothing else to use it on.

That's why I used it at 29, and then just went to a few buildings and cleared them out, then I got the special one at 30.

It's best to download it immediately, even if it's before you even start the game, as it improves many things, contains a light patch for other things, and has multiple other updates to certain areas when the Enclave come.

These have been good. Please shut up. Milking implies that they are pointless add-ons with no substance.

@ evoice, you sir, are in idiot and a buffoon. If you apply that logic to anything, then we would never advance as a society. I could say the auto industry has milked us for years for making newer better cars, or electronics equipment has been screwing us for introducing HDTVs. And damn those telegraph compaines for bringing out telephones!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really unable to get past that light beam coming out of that weapon crookedly.

I can only relieve my OCD by assuming the image represents the exact moment after firing the weapon finishes, in which the weapon experiences a slight recoil from the user adjusting their weight after holding it on target.

Just think, with enough Fallout DLC, we'll be able to go all over America!

Actually, that's not a bad idea. Releasing towns that might not have huge storyline missions, but tons of little missions and perks that a town might posses, like Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, etc. That would be sick, to see what they envision as 50's New York post-apocalypse.

Piecemeal DLC?

Quit whining. Yes, OA was not worth it. The Pitt and Broken Steal both had enough gameplay to justify the price. Most people whining about the pit didn't like the setting, but that's really nothing to do with Value for money, is it?
