Golden Sun DS in the works for 2010

After six years of absence, a long-running RPG franchise is battling back with Golden Sun DS. After a quick look during Nintendo's E3 2009 press conference, we saw what appeared to be 2D sprites on dynamic 3D environments, with 3D monsters.

Your wait for the return of Golden Sun will end in 2010, according to the Big N.

Nice but I was hoping we wouldn't see Golden Sun until Nintendo returned to something along the lines of their GBA. Not a fan of the DS.

I'm glad I decided to preemptively re-start playing the games over again. Among rumors of a new Golden Sun, I figured this was the E3 for the announcement for the next one.

As for the possible ability to take data from one of the GBA games, I highly doubt it. The two GBA games were planned to be in two parts. In fact that's what made the game great... The fact that when the developer found that the game they were creating was too big, they DID NOT cut it down to size, but instead delivered the game in 2 parts.

As most of those who have posted here know the story did not end completely, and was left open for a possible sequel. Thus today's announcement.

Heres hoping it isn't half as ugly as the DS Final Fantasy games, and that the 3D monsters are just pre-rendered...

Hope hope hope hope they do a big recap of the events of the first 2 games' story.... it's been a long time, and I never got far in the 2nd cus of some boss I vaguely remember as having some kind of floating juggler-type balls around him.... frustrating. SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also: hope they don't cram in too much DS control crap, cus I loved the simplicity of the first 2. :(
