looking in the QTA 2 thing myself. looks like (as you said) QTA is an abbreviation for Quetta, Pakistan. However the meaning of the word Quetta is translated to "fort" in english. according to wiki, "The city is a natural fort, surrounded by imposing hills on all sides." This may make sense because right next to the QTA 2 words are the little mountain graphics. Good work so far.

Call me crazy, but the shape of that controller indicates it is on the 360, I think I'm on to something...

It says, "I cant believe you paid $100 for this game, remember when we told you it would cost more like 30-40?"... then it rambles on about some slingshot. who knows.

$100 is a good price for a game that is priced at $60 and a controller that is priced at $50. The price of the game went up because they added more to it. It was originally designed as a sub-10 hour game. And the sling shot is the 7th step for Bungie taking over, "Take over world, shoot enemies into the sun with giant slingshot."

It's a rank in the Navy and Coast Guard.

Chief Master Sergeant is in the Air Force and Master Sergeant is Army.

Possibly coordinates to a significant burial ground (in game). I was thinking it would be the position of Spartan 117's memorial, doesn't fit the time line though.

+1, Break.

PS: I never heard of Master Chiefs when I was in the Army. Are you perhaps thinking of Chief Warrant Officers? No Master Chiefs though.

the full title is Master Chief Petty Officer, i think in the game it's first class but i dont think that's a real part. Wiki says it's a Navy and Coast Guard rank, is an NCO title and right above senior chief petty officer

You can tell by the numbers that it means master chef is a woman.

Wow, "she" has a really deep voice for a woman. Then again, maybe that's why "she" was named John instead of Joanne.

Singular Trap, perhaps you should facepalm yourself.

Master Chief is not an army rank.. it is a Navy rank. His rank is Master Chief Petty Officer.

The rank you may be thinking of is Chief Master Sergeant.

Even so, that's Air Force.

Anyhow, Master Chief is a non-existant rank for this non-existant Marine. Maybe some kind of future combined forces rank, since we all know the Navy takes over the space program (and apparently has no problem sending the Space Marines out to their doom).

But I digress. Didn't mean to pull you guys off topic, was just joking anyhow.

Well the Halo novels clearly states the rank as Master Chief Petty Officer. And MCPO is a Valid US. Navy/ US. Coast Guard rank. In the Haloverse MCPO is a rank within the UNSC Navy (United Nations Space Command). Spartan-117 is a member of the UNSC Navy, not the UNSC Marines. Johnson is a UNSC Marine.

As well, the SPARTAN-II program is done under the UNSC Naval Special Warfare Command.

I was watching through the E3 Video with Joseph Staten and noticed that one of the places in the map is Kikowani Station. It is clearly an important landmark in the game.

The values beneath PROPERTY OF UNSC are the physical dimensions of the controller, though the 265g seem a slightly lighter than any of my controllers my original white wireless controller and official rechargeable battery pack weigh 280g and my Halo 3 Spartan Controller weigh with official rechargeable battery pack weigh 276g, though both are somewhat old. Could indicate a decrease in circuitry size and
increase in weight optimizations.

Hey i just noticed that the data shown on the controller is just like in the trailer. In the trailer you can see that on the bottom right hand corner the is data in the same format as on the controller. on the trailer it shows information of the the camera being used to show the events happening like the time and the name of the camera or the area the camera is. Kikowani.0624 is either where the camera is or a district in mombasa or something else, and the numbers on the bottom stand for
