I know its apples to oranges, but the wii motion + is pretty unimpressive after seeing the potential of Natal.

Is no one else the least upset that the "motion plus" video is advertising the EXACT same thing the regular wiimote did when it was new?

This is ridiculous!

but we havent played the motion plus yet either, so the comparisons are based on the same amount and type of information, so it isn't unfair

haha, this comment from the 1up liveblog made me lol:

9:20 1UP.com: I'm sure his speech was written before Natal was revealed, so I guess he has to power on regardless of the arm-waving MS-branded elephant in the room.

Natal is still basically in the "Tech Demo" stage. It's not going to work as well as they are hyping up...AI, voice recognition and all that good stuff just isn't that advanced yet for stuff like Milo.

Oh look, a skydiving game just like the one that was released on the PSN about a year ago and used the sixaxis in exactly the same way to do exactly the same thing.

I hope that MotionPlus isn't a big cornerstone of their presentation because Project Natal will have overshadowed that... A new Zelda would be awesome though!

To be fair, wii motion + is probably much closer to launch, and probably alot cheaper.

Nonetheless, MS took alot of the wind out of their sails.

Screw cheaper and sooner, try 'will actually work'.

I'm sure Natal will work fairly well. But if they make *everything* that was shown work as seamlessly as they made it look in the demo - and also make actual gameplay that's fun, doesn't have too much lag, etc, I'll be pretty shocked.

(Kind of like how the original Wii controller looked really great in demos, but then we realised it couldn't really measure accurate position/distance, except when you're pointing at the screen. It still sort of does the job and the pointing bit works great, but it doesn't really deliver everything from the original demos.)

Look for NatalPlus in E3 2013. :)

The only advantage of Nintendo: Motion Plus will be in stores next month, unike the House of Gates' new control system.
Come, Nintendo, show something more interesting.

WiiSports Resort - the game will sell millions and sadly, probably be the only game people play on the Wii for quite some time. Didn't the same thing happen with Wii Sports? :) Seriously though, I will be buying this. I always did like Wii Sports.

Well, I was personally excited to see NSMB for the Wii and thought that was a good opening to the show, but things have progressed downhill quickly. Surely they've got something big to drop at the end.

I agree with most of the Natal comments, but there's no way Natal can be as precise as WMP, I don't think Natal could do this archery game as well. Actually looks kinda fun.

well, even though they should have, they didnt have a live demo of Natal, well, at least not with something that requires precision like archery or changing the tire that was in the video.

Natal will probably be gesture based. And as its completely sofware based its
not in the exact same boat as wm+.

That said i look forward to trying and hopefully owning both.

If you do buy one make sure you follow the guides online and use the usb loader to play "backed up" games from the HDD. It's making my disappointing investment in the Wii one that is very worthwhile.

Nintendo's presentation gets shittier and shittier each year and the more time passes the more we realize the Wii was just a Gamecube with waggle. Everyone should do themselves a favor a get into the homebrew scene.
