Woah, they need to stop overdoing muzzle flashes like 99% of the shooters out there are add more smoke coming out of the guns.
From the video, it looks more like a slightly more realistic BF2 than the "combat sim" it wants to be. But if they resume the trend of combining lots of extras in patches (Ultimate Upgrades) that BIS did and give out very flexible modding tools and SDK, then it will be a very good OFP successor.

Ever fired a real M16? Muzzle flashes are quite large, but most video games don't get the effect correct... they leave the flash sprite up too long IMO. Trying to fire in burst (or full auto) while staring down the ironsights can be disruptive.
Btw, I doubt this version of OFP will live up as a true successor since BIS is not involved. If you want a spiritual successor, look to ArmA.

I'm sorry, but the new Joystiq video players have to be the worst and most annoying players I've ever delt with. The popup ads at the beginning are bad enough, but if you let the video play completely through, a non-stoppable ad plays, interrupting any other videos you might be playing. Seriously, I'd pay money just to get an adless site.

There were no dragons in this at all... what a disappointment

I like Arma better

I'm not sure if its just the video but the animations look terrible in this game!
A proper war sim for ps3 sounds good though.

From the people who brought you "Damnation."

Precisely what I meant. Codemasters should stop stealing the thunder.
