Team Ninja pushes the wii pretty hard, those are some crisp visuals.

Now, can Team ninja do it better than Retro?

It'll be tough. MP3 was one of the best games ever made. I'm glad Samus is going to talk, though. I'm so tired of the silent protagonist in games. You can't care about a character you're playing when that character has no personality.

I agree, it's cool they announced some games this year, but really, if the biggest "wow" is the fact that samus finally talks, that says something.

I just wish for once, they would announce a new IP, or do something crazy with one of their original IPs.

I'm sorry but I think Conduit is quite overated, now Dead Space Extraction, that looks very awesome and a game I would only want to play on Wii as the consoles stand now. But really if anything, I'd say it's more exciting to own a DS right now then anything else, it looks like they're getting the brunt of the hardcore and original IPs that you really can't get from PSP or Iphone.

I'm a huge Metroid fan, but did Metroid Prime 3 even do that good in sales? I would much rather have prefered a 2D metroid for DSiWare, or GBA, GBC, and GB games on DSiWare.

Overall, I'd say better then last year, but I don't see anything "megaton" for the hardcore. I'm still most excited for the social integration stuff on the xbox, and project Natal.

Good job Nintendo, but I think its safe to say you are a changed company since the Wii

Official Announcement. Nintendo Wins E3 2009. Sony Packs Up And Goes Home. Microsoft Apologises For Not Being AS REDICULOUSLY FUCKING AWESOME AS NINTENDO.

Sorry, Golden Sun, SMG2 and Metroid have melted my brains.

obviously you didn't watch the same press conferences that rest of us did. That shit was laaaame.

They spent more time talking about shit than good stuff. Really, who cares how many ___ you've sold? It's not like anyone uses them after the first 2 weeks of having them.

...the E3 winner?! Really?
Sry, but I guess Wii can't compete with the MS conference and a new MGS, Halo: Reach, Mass Effect 2, Forza 3, Alan Wake and Splinter 'Fucking Awesome' Cell Conviction. And don't forget about Modern Warfare 2...or Project Natal.
Nintendo lets you post DSi images to Facebook. Well, the 360 will HAVE facebook. (+twitter + lastfm)

MS will have HD 1080p streams...can Wii do that? Oh wait I forget about the resolution thing. But at least I can check my heart pulse...lol.

Jesus Christ, I sound like a fucking fanboy even though I own both consoles...damn. But hey at least Wii will have Crysis 2...oh sry, my bad.

Man, remember when these confrences were about the games? Seeing and learning about games that would intrest us? Not about "someone wining" other then us, the gamers, with games we want to play?

Sigh, Nintendo hate for the sake of hating or "they aren't core" and Nintendo love "I list everything because I love Nintendo so much". Bah to it all.

I saw games I like from Microsoft's confrence, I saw plenty of games I like in Nintendo's confrence. I saw plenty of bad moments and things I just don't give a damn about or don't see working like Natal for games and whatever it was Iwata went on about.
But who the hell cares, it's about the damn games. Focusing on anything else, that's just stupid.

@Foetoid: One of those games is total bullshit that has never existed and will never existed, two of them (RE-re-re-re-makes) are shit cash-ins that are a waste of time for anyone who played the GC version... and while the Metroid Prime remakes will be worthwhile, they'll still be basically the same games (like RE4 Wii - yes it was great and much improved, but still not a new game).

Some other good games there for sure, but I think the list could do with being trimmed a little.

EA's MotionPlus games (tennis, golf) might be worth considering as well, on the other hand.

Personally, I guess they're not until next year but the games I'm most excited about are Silent Hill remake (yes another remake, but a significantly changed one and also of a game that wasn't already available on GC) and also maybe Cursed Mountain looks pretty awesome. And, yeah, since we're talking next year, Mario Galaxy 2 and the game this post's about would have to be in there as well :)

Overall it was a good but not great set of news from Nintendo. I hope there's more good news from Miyamoto's panel but even if not? This year's OK.

Let's face it, a Zelda Wii now would mean 2 Zeldas, 2 Marios and a Metroid in one E3.

Zelda will be next year, it would be stupid to release super Mario Galaxy 2 and Zelda in the same year. Plus that gives the development teams another year to make the game better.

I was happy with this conference. Yeah, it was boring at times, but the NSMBW, Golden Sun, SMG2, and this make up for those boring parts. I could care less about Microsoft's Natal thing. Shit looks amazing in videos but the tech just isn't there. It's just a upgraded eyetoy. Maybe in 5-10 years we'll get stuff like they portrayed in the videos.

Remember Miyamoto's Roundtable is tomorrow. And if I recall the original Smash Brothers Brawl trailer wasn't shown at the E3 Nintendo Keynote Either, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo had atleast 1 more ace up its sleeve. Regardless, compared to the last couple E3s, its nice to see Nintendo bringing something decent to the table.

Wait...what do you mean Miyamoto's roundtable?

And I'm sure thats not the end. This was a great conference.

Microsoft was so meh. That stupid Project Natal is so gimmicky its hilarious. The games were okay, I guess. You can't possibly be excited for Halo: Reach; nobody knows ANYTHING about it yet. We saw a trailer that showed a planet. Great sign me up. Halo is now being milked for all its worth.

Nintendo delivered. The games they showed were awesome. They appealed to both the core and casual, like it or not.

Sony's conference is predictable. They'll show Uncharted 2 (aka Gears of War clone with war scenes that feel so forced to me), Ratchet and Clank which will be pretty cool, and God of War III which while a good game is completely predictable as to what will happen. So there. bold statement, i know, but I'm ready to see their conference to back it up.

@ Calvin, if you think Project Natal is just an upgraded eye toy, you have got a lot to learn about tech.

Sorry but the facts of the technology are there, it is quite different then a plain old 2d digital camera.

now the microsoft vision cam and the playstation eye, those were glorfied eye toys. But not project natal. Remember the tech they're using in that thing was developed by an Israeli tech company for military purposes originally, and microsoft simply bought the tech for their own purposes. Eyetoy and the Vision Cam, were simply cheap gimmicks sold by Microsoft and Sony to say Mii Too!!
