Looks like art work, any in game footage or in game screen shots? This one of those games to come out in 2011?

They could've shown this at Ubi's presser and not bored me nearly to death.

You mean instead of James Cameron spoiling his own movie?

Yeah was that one long and painful press conference or what? He just seemed to be up there babbling.

As far as the pics, it looks interesting but the fact there are no Ewoks really stands out.

I think they were waiting to show this at Sony's show. The game features stereoscopic 3D. Remember those rumors from a while ago that Sony was working on 3D glasses?

I don't remember it being a PS exclusive. I also don't think that its 3D is dependent on anyone's hardware.

@ Duke

IIRC the didn't say which platform(s) it will be released. But I think Sony is so far the only console manufactor that has publicly shown the tech running.

But we shall see.

I take that back.

"He noted that Ubisoft, which is making the game version of Avatar, already has a stereoscopic game up and running using a standard Xbox 360 and 3D glasses. "

"Cameron said that displays for laptops, phones, and Zunes can be made stereoscopic even without needing special glasses."

There's something I've never heard before.

Yeah, I didn't think it was an exclusive, maybe just the 3D aspect of it. That's interesting that it could be displayed without the glasses though. Thanks for the info.

Looks good, but the dropship seems a bit formulaic, like he's trying to bring back his dropship from Aliens. I would have went for a different design. Looks cool otherwise.

I miss James Cameron ever since his work on Terminator 2. This project looks like it should kick ass. But I don't know if I'll ever forgive him for leaving the Terminator franchise up to the idiot that concocted Terminator 3.

At least T4 was better... But yeah, I wish Cameron stayed with Terminator.

I'm unfamiliar with the vehicles/creatures in the Halo series, but it doesn't look bad. I luckily was able to fast forward most of his speech thanks to recording the event on G4.

At least he is excited about his project (which is why I believe he talked on for so long). He seemed as if he was pitching his movie for the first time to get funding.

@Storm Eagle

The WHOLE Ubisoft keynote was way too long. That Pele (no idea who that is) guy, the kidz stuff, some other stuff I don't remember (oh yeah red steel 2). And then about 3 seconds of Assasins Creed2thanksfrocomingbye at the end.

To be fair, Halo's UNSC Marines borrowed A LOT from Cameron's Colonial Marines in 'Aliens'.
