We should have all arranged our own boards and submitted them to joystiq in an attempt to win swag from the joystiq boys.

Thats what i was thinking, they'd all have to be approved 'rumors' by joystiq but if we could pick from the list and arrange them....

a lot of work to verify winners though.

everyone would pick the 4 most common (or leaked) around the free space anyway...

I still suggest a simple, printable flash-driven BINGO card series for next year. At least then someone could have one off of MS (most of it happened, just poor positioning)

I knew the Nintendo card wasn't going to resemble the conference at all. But not even i had any inkling of what they actually showed.

would people drop the wii HD thing. that's what the whole SDHC is for, whats the top card... 32gig? hard drives are a dying breed, flash is the new kid. I hate the wii as much as the next guy, but I hate all these gamers clinging to their hard drives more. the thing is, if you have a hard drive IT WILL DIE. there's no doubting that. flash memory however, wont, unless you do evil things to it. as long as you use it once every ten years IT STAYS THERE.

People keep calling it more mature, but what exactly does that entail I wonder? Prime wasn't exactly a pastel coloured adventure to save the Gumdrop Queen from the nasty Gruzzlegumps

It looks like we're finally going to get a proper explanation of Samus's full backstory. Whether or not that counts towards being more 'mature' is up to you, but it's still something to be excited for if you're a fan of good games (which every Metroid game that wasn't for DS was).

Yeah. Bullshit aside, Prime 1 and 2 were very mature in the actual sense of the word (not in the usual gamer sense of the word which really means "immature"). You actually had to read, and actively seek out the storyline if you wanted to get the full picture.

3 was kind of a disappointment in many aspects including story.

The presentation was pretty poor, but the end results? Excellent.

12 games for Wii Sports Resort, a new Mario vs DK to release this monday, Golden Sun DS, confirmation of FFCC for North America, Platforming for Wii Fit Plus, NSMBWii, Mario Galaxy 2, and Other M

They just made that *seem* boring. Somehow.

God you guys suck at Bingo.

Although I think the Metroid one should be marked, I think it's in 2.5D like NSMB.

I definitely think Microsoft won the show this year, but seriously guys... this was a decent showing for Nintendo... MUCH better than last year. They announce more than one new Mario and a brand new take on Metroid and everyone's complaining... gotta love it.

Although they showed a couple of good things, it hardly compares to Sony and Microsoft who showed wall to wall awesome games and very impressive new technology. Motion plus seemed very primitive in comparasion.

There was also a LOT of sales and PR talked which Sony had very little of and Microsoft had none of.. And they talked about a lot of crap that nobody at the show cares about. Wii Fit Plus, that pulse thing (I seriously almost went into a coma during that part).

I'm not saying Microsoft and Sony didn't have stellar showings, but that's kinda the point... they had STELLAR showings. Just because this wasn't Nintendo's "show all our prototypes" year doesn't mean they had a bad show.

You've gotta remember two things.

1. Nintendo's core market isn't the E3 market anymore, I'm not going to fault them for catering to casuals. In fact, they had more titles featured for the "hardcore" than I expected from them. I guess I just don't expect the same calibur shows from them anymore.

2. While Microsoft and Sony showed off some VERY impressive mo-cap tech, they were all still prototypes. They didn't show us any real games on them. Nintendo, on the other hand is showing technology they launched going on 3 years ago... so while it does seem primitive in comparison, it is available now, not 2 years down the road.

See, i think the Motion Plus thing actually put them out ahead. While the other companies are talking about their motion solutions that will come out sometime in the future, Nintendo is showing what they have for consumers *now*

And most of what Sony and Microsoft showed wasn't new. Though the same is true for Nintendo, too. All three spent too much time on stuff we already knew about

Look harder.

Don't expect third party games to fly to you.

Besides Nintendo forgot to mention FF IV Sequel for a weird reason.

Or Tansuko vs Capcom. Orrrr the new Sega Project after the Conduit.

Not "us gamers".

It's just those who don't see why Nintendo did what they did.

They wanted a new install base, waited and then provide "hardcore" games.

Remember the PS2? It took one year from 2000 to 2001 to become the giant it has become to this date.

Third Party developers are going to figuring out how to work with the Wii like Ubisoft, Capcom, EA and etc.

You have too look through the pile of trash and find the gems.
