Sony forecasts Heavy Rain for Q1 2010

A Sony representative has confirmed to us that Heavy Rain won't start pouring until the first quarter of 2010. Quantic Dream's David Cage told us that Heavy Rain would most likely get lost in the shuffle, among the Modern Warfare 2s and the Assassin's Creed 2s and that a Q1 2010 release suits the game much better.
For those anticipating the game's release this is undoubtably a disappointment, but a release during this period may mean better sales figures, which may mean more games or DLC for the series. See? Every rain cloud has a silver lining.

I would much rather have this game than assasins creed.....all of sonys great games are getting pushed back to 2010, so are there any first party games are coming out THIS year..??

Uncharted 2. That seems to be it.
Light year for late-term 1st party exclusives all around, really. NSMBWii, ODST, Forza 3, and Uncharted 2.

To be honest I'm happy for this, this year hasn't been kind to me and time is really of essence if every good Sony game was released this year I would have to be hooked to a Red bull dispenser to play them all.
Uncharted is pretty sweet and we got InFamous too plus all the awesome multiplatform releases not to mention the PSP library for this year is huge.

Well Killzone 2, MLB 09 The Show, and Infamous have already come out obviously.
Rest of the year is MAG, Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. Fat Princess is coming out on PSN sometime this month too.

I heard it plays a bit like Gears of war can anyone confirm this? Also can you use Natan acrobatic abilities online?
I really hated how you couldn't use your abilities in Bionic Commando when you played online,seriously we have a Bionic arm and the melee punch is with your regular arm? yeah someone on the BC design team should be fired.

I downloaded the beta but haven't even played it yet because the multiplayer just seems so unappealing. Single player will make Uncharted 2 GOTY, not tacked on multiplayer.

I'm loving the multiplayer beta and it's the furthest thing from tacked on. The game plays very much like gears of war.

The co-op is amazing! Not too happy with regular deathmatch, but I rarely am in any game. Plunder is awesome though! Having a line where you can toss it to each other is epic!
I wonder what other "boosters" you can purchase. They should release all of them so we can see if any are overpowered...

It's no surprise to see Sony's big titles getting eased back into late 2009/10....by that time they should have the slim PS3 out and be making a profit on all the sales...instead of making a loss like they do now.
We're nearly there PS3 owners....just gotta hold out a feeeeeeeew more months before another deluge of top quality games hit!

Incredibly disappointing. I think I may have teared up a little bit seeing this. I was crossing every part of my body that it would come out this fall.

Man, this is going to kill those PS3 list. It use to be we would get a PS3 list of killer exclusive games coming this year but now it looks like we will have to wait until 2010. I guess this might not be the YEAR of the PS3.
Do not get me wrong, I love my PS3 but I be damned if I have not seen so many people throwing out the 2009 List only to find out only three of those games will make it to 2009.
I can see the 360 Defense force getting ready for ther counter attack.

Well, is MAG at least coming out this year?This FUCKING SUCKS! LBP was up against the same sort of competition last year, does Sony have no faith in this game? I guess I'll finally buy KZ2, then save up for Uncharted 2 and Ratchet for later this year. Major disappointment.

RATS!!!!!!!!! I am actually upset about this and I don't get upset about much when it comes to video games. Wow. This is a kicker, ain't it? Damn but if they need more time with it to get it to a better playing state, I am all for it, ultimately, because u KNOW that's what it's really about. This game was shown at LAST YEARS' E3 and I really don't believe Sony thought this game wasn't coming out til 2010. Eh, not the first time nor the last a game has/will be delayed. Ok, I will wait...
