Pole dancers, zebra suits and hanging crosses, oh my! These are just some of the sights to spot in this new Heavy Rain trailer from E3. Take a very close look at some of those new faces; any one of them could be one of the four mysterious playable characters that were hinted at previously. We've already met Jayden, Mad Jack and Madison, but who are all the others?

So... the purpose of the female lead is to strip down to her undies and fight?

I think the old, balding guy is trying to get it on with the other dude's girlfriend, as shown in the trailer when the old guy had a gun pointed at her and she was baring it all down (pretty much rape), hence the "how far would you go to save someone" tagline. I guess the tagline is also directed at you and not just the storyline within the game and how far would you go if you want to save the characters and stuff

You should see it in the PS3 from the PS Store if you haven't already. I went completely fanboy delusional and wept,
HUH? Why does it have shit graphics? Oh, hahaha it must be my PS3 that accidentally configured my display setting to 480P. Silly me! *checks and sees current configuration still at 1080P* No...this is not...happening :'(

The graphics aren't that bad. The only thing I saw that resembled 'bad' was when the cop walked though the grass and it didn't move. Nowhere near 'bad'. Fallout was worse than this, and I don't hear many people complaining.
But it's still making me want a PS3, which is what exclusives are supposed to do. It's heading towards the 'maybe' pile, along with CoD:MW2.

*SLAP IN THE FACE TO ALL
All the trailers/demos from E3 look that bad or worse (they're a capture of a capture) that doesn't mean that's how the game will look in our TVs

The whole 'PS3 has no good games' arguement is so out dated, there are tons of great PS3 exclusives out there not to mention great multi platform releases and this has been the case for a while now, get over overself...

I'm with Shadow XOR. Having a 360 with all my friends, any multiplatform game heads over there and takes priority over PS3 games. That pretty much leaves only exclusives for the PS3, and of those generally only ones with a strong single player component. And that are not full price, since we've got a load of games on 360 already.
I've got Siren and MGS4. If the price drops to a reasonable level, I'd consider Heavenly Sword and Uncharted and InFamous.
Really, Heavy Rain is the only game that I am REALLY anticipating.

It's easy to tell how good graphics will be, even on low res streaming video. For some reason, Quantic Dream seems to have trouble making better than average graphics. Try going from MGS3's graphics to Indigo Prophecy. *shiver*

Nice. I thought the trailer was well done. I'm a little upset that this isn't coming out until early 2010. I was hoping to play it later this year.

No. The eyes continue to not focus, properly. This was fine, for Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, on ps2... but here? I will get this day 1 for fun-- I think the story and atmosphere is going to be wonderful. But don't try to tell me that the uncanny valley is not here in full force. People with Asperger's syndrome will think this is amazing. For those of us who can read body and eye language, this is a joke, as far as uncanny valley goes. But still, I'll get it, as I think it'll be a great escapade. I'll just ignore when people's eyes don't focus correctly. Like they did, in Heavenly Sword. If that tech was used here, we would have an amazing game. As it is, we have a fun game. So, good enough.
