This actually looks pretty cool. But I have not yet seen the demo video but it definitely sounds pretty cool. It's probably the cardio workout everyone has been waiting for. ^_^ Good job konami!!!

Interesting switch-up. Good from a business point of view, certainly. At least it isn't another DDR with mario characters.

It seems to me like you'd get much less of a work-out if you're not lifting your feet rapidly and confined to a little rectangle instead of a wide open space. I understand the hipsways, sure, but I don't see how DDR could be fun/exercise if you're not actually lifting your feet and stepping on arrows. Oh well, we'll see how it turns out.

If it's at all similar to the sort of step/dance thingy I'd seen in WiiFit I'd have to think it'd be much shallower than what could be accomplished with the dance pad. Did you play the last Wii iteration? I always wondered how the wiimote/nunchuk integration turned out. Gal and I have the 360 version, and now I'm all of the sudden getting the urge to play tonight and look on ebay for a disc only version of the last one to come out :P

Actually the newest DDR I own is DDR Max 2 for the PS2. I think I might need an upgrade. :P

I've already posted my impressions elsewhere but I'm ridiculously excited for this especially given that I'm a huge fan of Hottest Party 2 with its SICK Hand Marker system. So many elements of this game are so full of win. Just look at some of the songs they're already revealing for the License List.
Oh and to the above poster, this WILL be a big workout when you examine the screens and the tidbits of information we know about it thanks to Konami.
Oh and one more thing: Even more revolution with multi-directional Hand Markers! Seriously, the Wii version is CLEARLY making its mark even more so than Hottest Party 2 did.
And to say that it's "not about stomping arrows anymore" is incorrect. This is just a separate mode, new gameplay addition. Can't wait to hear more on other modes. Really excited for this. Day one purchase for me.
