Activision sues Double Fine over Brutal Legend

Am I the only one who doesn't find this game interesting. I appreciate the Spinal Tap type humor and all... but the game itself seems meh at best.

We all should know that Kotick was once CEO or something of 4Kids entertainment. That's just evidence showing he cares more about privilege than principle(i.e. making money instead of making good new games and IP.)

At this point, if all Activision needed was a fuck to save them, and I had a pocketful of fucks, I wouldn't give a fuck.

Ugh. This is ridiculous. I'm hoping this doesn't effect the release date, I have been waiting for this game for far too long already.

The only games I plan on buying from them at this point are SC2 and D3. Unfortunately Blizzard is becoming more and more of a corporate whore now too. Splitting SC2 up into separate games for single player campaigns? So stupid. I almost wish their games were crappy so I wouldn't have to put up with that shit.

I never understood what is so bad about milking a franchise. For example, they made Guitar Hero and it was awesome. But after awhile, it gets boring playing the same songs over and over again. So they made another one with more songs. And another one with more songs. Then they came out with World Tour after seeing how great Rock Band was and put out more songs. So they are going to release another World Tour because those songs are now old to play.

What's so wrong with that? I've been playing GHWT for a while now and I'm sooo sick of the same songs over and over again. So when another one comes out, with new songs, I'll get it.

And is this what EA does with Madden and every other sports game? Same game, with a tiny bit of a adjustments with new rosters. Same fuckin difference.

Second off, how does buying a game second hand boycott a company? The company might not be getting any money, but you are STILL USING THE PRODUCT! If you are TRUELY going to boycott something, don't even play it.

So they were going to publish then they were not and now jealous that soemone else is going to publish it...... ok....... perhaps they just want their cut and helping by scandalous advertisement... it seems a industry norm now adays...

As a huge Double Fine fan, Psychonauts is one of my top 5 all-time, they deserve to have this badass game come out unscathed. They do a great job making original, funny, polished, and well designed games. Activision has now seen the error in their ways of letting this go by the wayside, but instead of sucking up their bad decision now they want a piece of the pie they had no business dropping in the first place.

Fuck off Activision go back to your licenses. I wish you didn't have Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I wish you didn't have Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I am fucking stoked you will not get Brutal Legend. A judge will see you for the dead beat dad that you are.
