you guys just realized this? with the references to all those time periods, all those different locations? they even hinted at "at least six" more. This is ubisoft the "milkmaid"

...just be thankful they're better at it than Activison.

as long as they do it in a respectable way, with a good change up in between every game, i'm fine. the difference between AC1 and AC2 looks significant. if future sequels end up like that, i'll be happy.

I always dread Cliffhanger endings because you're never sure if they are actually going to follow through on them. At least with Ubisoft they had a hit with the first game and can basically guarantee more, but I just finished Prey (late, I know) and it had an interesting cliffhanger ending but I doubt I'll ever see more...

"There will be a cliffhanger," he admitted. "It's cool to have a cliffhanger."
Um...No it's not. It's just extremely frustrating and weakens the story that I'm supposed to care about. What's the point of having a story if there's not any resolution? Imagine if after beating the first world of Super Mario Bros and having Toad tell you "The Princess is in another castle" the game ended. That was the ending of the original Assassin's Creed.

"The director feels that players need to experience just a little bit of frustration at the game's completion"
What? This is the stupidest thing I've ever read. If completing the game will frustrate me instead of satisfying me then why the hell would I want to play the damn game?

Why can't all games just do it like Mass Effect? They wrapped up the main plot of the game and everything, but left just enough there to make a sequel out of it.

Though I do admit (SPOILER ALERT) I wish they had left Saren alive, he would have been a cool bad guy to span across the whole trilogy.

Assassin's Creed 1 ended with a major cliffhanger too. I wonder how many people actually took the time to talk to Lisa until she repeated dialog...

This is really going to have to wow me. For starters, I was not thrilled with the original's "sci-fi twist", and I certainly was not thrilled by the presence of some supernatural elements near the end. Overall I found the story trite and unmoving. The gameplay? Well, besides the repetition, was pure gold. Jumping from building to building, silently executing someone in a crow...fantastic.

mmm.... well im not buying this one.and any of the AC "Universe" until they do what it should have been. Maybe now that the MGS has been prostituted, we should see a really stelath action game set in eras.

Worry not about the circumstances, but of the facts that you know by now.

That really annoyed me. Especially when you had to silently assassinate 5 targets for some guy and then all he says is: He will be hiding somewhere in Jerusalem...

That doesn't help me.

So can we have the stealth elements actually be useful this time around? Once you got the throwing knives in the first one there wasn't any point to being sneaky.

As long as 2 isn't as bland, boring, and repetitive as the first, I couldn't really care how poor the narrative structure is.

Dark Wayne, we get it that you're so good at AC and that you like it a lot.

But don't give us that BS. All assassinations played out the same. The guards would always discovered you and you would always end up fighting the target in the middle of a circle of guards.

Perhaps if Altair didn't carry a large blade on his back he would actually manage to kill the target unnoticed.

I think 18th to 19th century london would be good. For example "Jack The Ripper" time period. Plus there would be great scenery and buildings to interact with.
