Capcom bundling Monster Hunter 3 with black Wii in Japan

Not only will a new black Wii be out in Japan this summer, prospective owners will have the option of buying it in a bundle with what will undoubtedly be 2009's biggest game for that region: Capcom's Monster Hunter 3 (Tri).

The Monster Hunter 3 bundle will be released on August 1, concurrent with the standalone version of the game, and will include the game, a black system, and a black Classic Controller Pro for 33,000 yen ($342). In addition, a black version of the MH3/Classic Controller Pro bundle will be sold for 8,490 yen ($88).

Despite the fact that the red DSi is coming out on the same day as Dragon Quest IX, no bundle has been announced for that yet.

Thing is, that may not be exaggeration. I mean, Freedom 2G is *still* pushing PSPs to this day over there, and frequently appearing in the top.

With this release, Nintendo's reign will know no end.

Aw, c'mon! Mexican food is actually really good if you don't eat tacos all the time. There are better things you can eat that don't have or aren't made out of tortillas, like mole, pozole or menudo. It has a pretty varied menu, just look at it.

Yes, this one is actually Mexican.

Damnit, there hasn't been any news of Monster Hunter at E3.
And here I was waiting on a release date so I can hunt myself some Rathalos :]

I would guess it's actually a mistake of conversion from yen to USD - as in, the exchange rate has changed since the initial pricing of the systems that defined their prices in yen and USD.

Monster Hunter 3 would be a bit closer to 70 US in Japan.

MH3 has been confirmed for the states.

Sweet! There's no better way to start selling a console with a new (and such pretty) color than bundling it with a game like that. They will sell out on the first day, no doubt about it.

Wii sales in Japan will SKY ROCKET

I would buy it. The black Wii would be enough by itself, but that is a great bundle.

I think its ridiculous they are not trying to use the Wiimote/nunchuck but require the classic controller to play.

i understand having the option to play with classic controls but the entire point of the console is that will play differently. The Wiimote and Nunchuck have same amount of buttons that a classic contorller has except missing the 2nd analog stick, but that's what motion and pointing is for.

It's like having a PS3 game that only displays 480p and uses DVD as the disk.

It doesn't require the classic controller to play. You can play with the remote and nunchuck as well.

I'm pretty sure most PS3 games do use DVDs, or at least could-- if they're multiplatform with the 360, and not expanded or revised, they wouldn't need any more space.

THIS is what should have been shown at the conference, I was waiting patiently to see this, not a four player side scrolling Mario, not 20 minutes telling me about demographics, but this and only this.

A game I can finally sink my teeth into :D

I hope IX doesn't come with the Red NDSi, I'm holding out for a slime blue+graphic design.

The biggest game is that region is Dragon Quest IX coming on DS. Square Enix expect 5 millions units solds.
Monster Hunter Tri won't EVEN be close ( If they do 3 millions that a HUGE ) !!!

I'm still hoping that this game might get a Playstation release eventually. But if it doesn't, that black wii would look nice beside the PS3. :)

Wait, I thought Capcom was showing two mystery games this year at E3? What were they?
