While I agree this trailer is exceptional, I seem to be in the minority in thinking that the demo during Sony's confo was just alright, it didn't have me geeked out. It looked great but the gameplay didn't seem special. The demo of Modern Warfare 2 on the other hand....

I'm on my THIRD PLAYTHROUGH of Uncharted 1. That's how fun a video game should be. Not fun the first time through, but fun EVERY time you play it. It's not so much that I'm playing a game, but controlling one hell of an action-adventure movie and everything goes into that. The 'splosions, the comedy, the voice action, the drama, the emotion....everything in this series of games just works like a well oiled machine. A well oiled machine ready to drive you down the the 7th circle of Hell and have you asking for a return trip.

I know ... The best thing about the first Uncharted is the presentation of everything and the way it flowed. Playing Uncharted was better than watching that Indiana Jones movie that came out (crystal skulls?) with the UFO's.

It's fun to watch you go and see the ignorance just pour out.
Uncharted was NOT a Tomb Raider 'male version'. There are thematic similarities but the tone and gameplay were quite different. The story had so much more pop, for lack of a better phrase, plus brilliant pacing and acting. The gunplay is completely different(and much better) than TR. The platforming/exploring was much more streamlined to fit the pace of the game. I happen to be a big fan of the new TR series, by the way. The two are completely different experiences.
Naughty Dog happens to be one of the most respected and talented devs in the industry, consistently putting out excellent titles year after year.
I said you are an idiot, and you just keep proving me right. Thx.

Yes, that is Sully. Glad he's back too
"Elena Fisher, last years' model" : classic
"I hope you know what you're doing"
"I have no idea" : again, classic
I would love to see ND make episodic dlc for Uncharted like Isomniac does w/ R&C.
Can't freaking wait!

After seeing the first two trailers for this game I said enough is enough, I just want the damn game....but now that I've been playing the Closed Multiplayer Beta, I couldn't resist watching this trailer here. This game may become the greatest action game I have EVER played and I've been playing video games since the very first consoles like Pong and all those leading up to Atari.
The first game sucked me in like I couldn't believe and I didn't even buy the thing til this year but once I started playing, I couldn't stop til I finished. Now the sequel has multiplayer and I am not even a multiplayer type but being on the beta, CRACK, somebody get me to Betty Ford, for real! The multiplayer is icing on the cake because I KNOW the single player is going to be DEAD ON!!
Ok, excuse me as I go pickup Infamous...and Virtua Tennis 2009, if it did come out. Peas....

I've decide that at $64.20 a game this generation and a 25% chance of the game being very short that I would take up just renting games and shooting for as many Trophies as possible during that time.
But I can tell you that I'm not going to hesitate at buying this brand spanking new. Naughty Dog deserves something for their fantastic work, and we deserve a trilogy.

Good lord, that was a high quality trailer! I'd say that was more exciting than most movie trailers! I never played the first game, but after watching this...i think I might have to go stimulate the economy a little!

Aww man. Now Uncharted 1 won't ever devalue... I promised myself I'd buy it when it went lower than 40$...
Please, Sony! Make it a Greatest Hit !

What, exactly, was so amazing about that? It's a standard game trailer, all cutscenes (and no don't tell me it's "all in game", that's been true of most games for years, they're still CUTSCENES) except for a few quick shots of actual gameplay. It looked no better or worse than any other game out this year, last year, and probably the year before that.
And I'm not saying this as an Uncharted hater, but as someone who judged it for what it was: a good-looking (not incredible) but inevitably boring game. The first one had zero difficulty, zero progression (unless you call bringing in sniper rifles & grenade launchers 'progression'), braindead puzzles. It was exactly the same from beginning to end: small platforming section, stumble into obvious shooting section, small platforming section, and on and on.
I also found the tin-ear 'comedy' dialogue excruciating, and unfortunately it looks like that won't change - the same tired "dramatic setup, snarky comment" buildup/payoff that wasn't funny in the first isn't funny here. The "where did you get this guy" line was in The Mummy 2, for chrissake.
Best of E3? God help us then. But then again this is the site that gave Fable 2 GOTY!

@Douche Bigalow,
Another Sour grapes attitude, Why? Listen, I have a question for you, have you not read the many comments before you? Clearly the majority view this game as one of the best & they believe that it offers a great experience to them..
Even with all the praise it gets, Uncharted 2 is still underrated imo..
You probably don't understand why Uncharted is liked by many, I don't think that you have played the first one to begin with.
Uncharted is loved because - here it is! Believe it or not - it just GETS IT RIGHT!
Peace =)

Right, the old "it's popular therefore it must be good" argument. So Britney Spears is better than the Beatles, right?
There's this thing about opinion: different people generally have different ones. And I stated clearly why I didn't like Uncharted; none of the points were rebutted; so it seems more than a bit odd that you disqualify my OPINION of the game.
It was boring and predictable and the vaunted 'story' was cliched, unfunny, and tiresome. Plus it had the absolute lamest boss battle / ending of all time - brief QTE's against some random Spaniard? To its credit it did look good, the voice acting was generally very good and the pacing of the scenes was very professional. But it was just slick, soulless product with no difficulty or complexity. Don't blame me if you lack the refinement and experience to apply criticism.

I notice that the same characters as the last game have better facial animation. Before, it was acceptable. Now it's almost up to Heavenly Sword, which still has the best facial animation of any videogame. Don't believe me? Load it up and watch the eyes on the main or pause screen; even Uncharted can't touch the subtlety of when she gives a very slight acknowledgment to you, the viewer. Though I will say this is noticeably better than the last Uncharted, which was on par with Metal Gear for facial, though I feel Uncharted bested it, as Metal Gear had to have a reduced color pallette to pull out all it's tricks. And the first Uncharted was one of the first games to not skimp on color pallette. That takes some serious bandwidth management. And now, they're doing it better than ever (Heavenly Sword had interesting ways of dealing with bandwidth and color, not all of them impressive, but the facials in that game are still the best-- eyes going exactly to the right place, subtle facial muscles evoked, and so on).

Naughty Dog is clearly Sony's most precious asset, the crown jewel of Sony's worldwide studios.
Remember "Crash" everyone? Some of the most fun I've ever had in a video game.
Uncharted 2 FTW.
