Joystiq readers, you know we love you. We wouldn't be out here covering E3 if it weren't for you checking us for stories, browsing our galleries, and sending us tips. Seriously, you are the entire reason we exist in the first place. We know a lot of you read about our meetups and lament the fact that you can't get your smiling faces out here and participate.

Well, with that in mind, you'll want to stay tuned to this post right here. Why? Well because you can participate in our first ever virtual swag off, concurrent with our E3 meetup in Los Angeles. We were lucky enough to snag some codes from EA for Battlefield 1943 on XBL and PSN ... before it's even out! We'll drop a code throughout the evening, so keep refreshing this post and keep your fingers poised over the "enter code" section on your platform of choice.

Hey gang, we're about ready to mutiny over this Battlefield issue. We're just going to drop 30 (!) Uncharted 2 multiplayer codes, and we'll send you the Battlefield: 1943 codes closer to that wonky July 1st date. We apologize for the mess, but we're doing what we can! We hope you still love us. Did you guys truly just state that you need to drink alcohol?

That's got to be the most idiotic, immature, and stupid statement I've ever seen any of you post, and I've seen a lot of immature, and stupid statements from some of you guys.

How is that idiotic, immature, or stupid? You're a moron! Some people like us Adults who work hard at our jobs enjoy a nice relaxing drink or two. You need to grow up.

And some people like us college students also like to have a nice drink or two after class. Or ten!

Alcohol destroys braincells, enforces reliance on outside chemicals and indulgences, demonstrates the inability for the "partaker" to control their own self will and resistance, and of course damages the liver and what not.

I'm all for a glass of wine to celebrate or commemorate, and even to help protect against cancer once a week, but beer doesn't do anything for you, it actually doesn't taste good the first time, as proven it only gets tolerated by the brain as you do it more and more until the brain stops trying to resist against it (as the brain registers it initially as a poison according to science) and since you're forcing it into this it shows stupidity.

The ability to relax is a great thing, so read a book, drink a glass of water to refresh your system and get the blood further flowing... alcohol has NO REASON to be used to relax, as it doesn't actually relax you permanently, only temporarily and it just reinforces that stress after you're done.

It's an excuse widely used, but it's not scientific nor is it factual or even smart.

No indeed beer and liquors are not acceptable.

Gee, you're right Velsar. Next time we'll plan a very fun and exciting Joystiq book reading party, for ultimate relaxation. And since you've really made me see the error of my ways, I'll just stop drinking delicious beer altogether now. Seriously, you must be great fun at outings.

Worst off is that it's all ages, which allows for the possibility of children or pre-teens and then you have people drinking alcohol right in front of them? Does anyone here have any idea how to be a proper parent, or is it all stupidity? You don't introduce people into alcohol until they can legally do it and only if they want to, secondly you don't show it off in front of them, or even have it there unless absolutely unremovable, such as a wedding (though I dispute that it is undisputable) and so don't say OPEN TO ALL AGES, when it shouldn't be, and any good parent would know that... just as much as young teenagers who go to this website to learn about games, SHOULD know... but probably aren't mature or wise enough to actually do.

As I said, there is no logical reason for others to want beer / liquor, in placement of other better, more nutritious and healthy, as well as more enjoyable and intelligent drinks. Unless of course you want to be an idiot and destroy your body, and if that's the case you should submit yourself to Alcoholics Anomynous as well as a Mental Clinic for desires for suicide.

Guys and gals, we do what we can. It's inevitable that we can't please everyone, but bear with us. We're going to have a TON of Uncharted 2 multi codes very soon. Like very, very soon. We're still figuring out how best to handle getting them to you, but rest assured there are a lot on the way. Plus we're working on the Battlefield: 1943 codes as well, and will have some for you closer to July 1st. Believe us, we want to give away everything possible, but we have to take it as we get it.

rofl @ akouftaian. the title says "Joystiq E3 Meetup: Virtual swag!" so if you are interested in virtual swag, you should have read the entire thing instead of looking at the picture and assuming its just battlefield.

I already have the Uncharted 2 beta from Infamous but am hoping to get the Battlefield code >_< Also, what was the special surprise that Joystiq said would be at the reader meetup yesterday?

Well that "surprise" ended up being ... Uncharted 2 codes! No, I'm kidding. You can thank Naughty Dog for those, they really came through and more will be on the way.

The actual surprise was that the surprise didn't happen. We had DJ Hero set up to be at our party, but when they showed up and saw that we would be displaying the game via a projector on a wall in the place, they didn't want to do that. We get it. Plus, it's their game, and they can do what they want. I think they just didn't want people to think it looked bad because it wasn't being shown on an actual screen.

Hopefully next year we'll have advanced notice, a smoother way to handle swag (both real and virtual), and something very cool for people to check out.

I'm confused. When the codes are given away we have to wait to july 1st to enter at www.battlefield1943.com/E3Redeem. Or do we enter the code right away on out console?

I don't really understand all the Battlefield stuff? Do we enter on our consoles, because the E3Redeem url is a 404.

And if you wanna give me any codes, i'll take them :D My birthday is July 1st after all :)

(I tried them like 5 minutes after they were give out xD You guys are insane)
