Agreed. Although I think the point is we don't care about this game so why not strange it up a little.

In that respect he succeeded I guess. ;)

@ ghen: I wasn't interested in this game, until I read about the Adventure Tours mode. That intrigues me greatly.

Adventure tours might be ok... if its done like the story mode in SSBB and not Mortal Kombat Armageddon.

But does it have curling? Curling is the one reason to watch the Winter Olympics. That, and the figure skating.

Can you say "Spiritual Successor to Nagano 98 for N64"?

I think I can....and therefore will probably be buying it.

If Robotnik showed up in Vancouver, he'd be tasered to death by the RCMP.

I imagine if any cartoon or otherwise fictional character actually showed up in Vancouver, there would be a rather impressive display of force.

That, or the biggest drug scandal this country has ever seen...

It always freaks me out to see my home cities represented in video games. I attended Whistler Secondary School, and I am currently living in Vancouver. I've been to the Olympic facilities, and near-photo accurate images like the one below freak me the eff out.

I hope Nintendo/Sega are smart and delay this for early next year. It will sell better when its cold outside and nothing else to go up against it.

Casuals are going to buy WiiFit Plus and Wii Sports Resort, and some may buy NSMBWii so this is likely to be lost in the shuffle.

Also I think it's a critical mistake to not include WiiMotionPlus support. From what I heard the controls where bad before

Considering how many fools bought the first game, I think it's unlikely that this one will just get 'lost in the shuffle'.

Did Mario and Sonic not interact in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games?

Or was he saying that the first one was purely competitive and this one will be slightly cooperative?

Also, strange post. I like it.

It warms my heart to hear that almost every Joystiq staffer passed on the opportunity to view this demo. Which begs the question; why are you even bothering covering it at all?

So you're preordering because Metal Sonic had a major role in Sonic CD, one of the best Sonic games, I presume

in which case, keep in mind this is a MINI GAME COLLECTION and his badassness will be kept to a minimum as a result

Why only Olympics? Having Sonic in Brawl was cool. Now, how about a 2D platformer with these characters teamed up?

DO IT

that would take effort.

Nintendo and Sega have two options here.

they could make that cool game, which would take effort and make millions

or they could continue to make this one, which would likely take zero effort and make millions

keep in mind this is Nintendo and Sega we're talking about.
