Nintendo releasing black Wii, red DSi this summer

Our bingo card was off by just a couple of days. Nintendo didn't bother to introduce a new color for the Wii system during its E3 press conference ... or anywhere else in North America, for that matter. Japan got its own mini-megaton tonight in the form of a new black Wii system, which will release in Japan on August 1. In addition, accessories including the Wiimote, Classic Controller, and Classic Controller Pro, will also be released in black to coordinate with the new system and extract money from people who already have Wiis.

In addition, Nintendo announced that a red DSi system will launch in the region on July 11. No announcements have been made for any other region.

I'll buy a DSI when it's in a fun color. I like the look of the red.

i've been waiting for black controllers! i've been holding out with only 2 Wiimotes and 1 Nunchuck. woo! i'm getting these fo sho.

Heh, well, Darth Vader was evil and he's cool! Although, he didn't have anything red glowing about him though, hah. :D

Darn, I just bought a Wii a month ago. I would have preferred getting a black one. I just like my home theater gadgets sleek and black (oh that sounded dirty), not that the white Wii is bad looking.

Oh yeah, I will probably try to import a black Wiimote if it doesn't come to the US.

Finally.

I think I'll have to go back on my decision to sell my Wii a few months ago and buy what I really wanted all along which was a Revolution.

Not too concerned about new colors for the Wii and DSi because I'm not repurchasing my downloaded games. That would make the systems too expensive. Not so much the DSi yet though, I haven't used all my 1,000 points yet, but still...

ooh. red dsi looks good! way better than the blue

i want one !!! release a loooot of colors like ipods..
orange, purple , blue , green , yellow, red , black , golden , silver...

I've held of buying a Wii all this time, finally there's hope on the horizon. Albeit they've haven't announced a UK date.. :(

um..i was thinking, whats worth it?
Is the wii or the dsi better?
I've seen lot of pple with ds's and wii..
Now that people've gotten there hand on it, they've said blah blah bla..why not wait a few years more?
In a few years like the ipod, the ipod-touch the ipod-phone like the ds ds litle dsi, just wait till a newer version and save up ur money
