So are there any _bad_ games that end in "nauts" or is that just for things that are awesome?

Aironauts. Scored 1 in this review.

It was, however the only game (other than Psychonauts) that I could find with nauts. Apparently not a popular suffix.

Policenauts. That's the only other that I know (other than Psychonauts which you mentioned).

When I buy this game I'm going to try all of the most obscure dinosaur names I can remember, they did after all mention this specifically. Micropachycephalosaurus anyone? Minmi?

I'm so upset with myself that I missed this game. I thought about going to see it but didn't want to trek all the way to the South Hall and back again for one game. Then last night it really hit me at the Joystiq meet-up when literally every person I talked to mentioned it first as the game they were most impressed by at E3.

If I was flexible enough to kick myself, I would.

Oh! And Speaking of ancient beings, I can't wait to see what'll happen if I summon Cthulhu.

You won't only end the level, but the game, the DS, your neighborhood, your city, your state, your country ......and eventually, existence as we know it.

So please don't do it, okay?

Cthulu actually is a one time per entire playthrough "beat the level" word.

The proper summon to dispatch zombies is Bruce Campbell.
I heard a rumour that in an early build you could summon Chuck Norris, but he kept killing the play testers.

...The only good meme is a dated meme...

If this quote from a prominent messageboard doesn't get you to day 1 this game, nothing will:

"I FUCKING TRAVELED THROUGH TIME AND JUMPED ON A DINOSAUR AND USED IT TO KILL MOTHERFUCKING ROBOT ZOMBIES."

"Andrew created a teleporter in an attempt to instantly apparate to the Starite -- instead, it took him to a medieval world where he was besieged by shadowy assassins."

This will be the greatest game ever.

This game will make me so very happy to pull out my DS on the tube again. A terrible injustice will occur if Scribblenauts does not sell through the roof!

I'm just astonished that something like this can fit in 128 Mb or less.

Seriously, how did they fit this into a DS cartridge?

I think you meant 1024Mb (128MB)?

Hey, NES had great (and sometimes long) games with 64k limit! A Word document with the whole dictionary (and Scribblenauts is just nouns) probably wouldn't exceed one megabyte.

And don't forget they could be publishing it on a 256MB cart (they are a small developer though, so they could even have a 64MB limit). Nobody used the 512MB size yet btw.

I want this game quite badly! Homonyms, anyone? What will happen if you spell things in a British fashion rather than a US fashion? What will happen if you just type in "life" or "spore"? This is going to be a delightful thing to play with, I hope it comes out at the beginning of fall, rather than the end!

Homonyms are explained in later trailers - it provides a list of options, like this:
- balloon (vehicle)
- balloon (hand-held)
Thus distinguishing between hot-air balloon transportation and party balloons. A similar list appears for mis-spellings, incidentally - if you enter British spellings, you'll probably get the list offering the US one.

"life" isn't exactly an object, but "spore" will probably work.
