Team ICO LittleBigPlanet DLC coming next week

Shadow of the Colossus in LittleBigPlanet? It's been done, but not officially. A new trailer, viewable after the break, found on the Media Molecule website suggests that official Shadow of the Colossus DLC is coming to the game next week -- maybe alongside some Ico stuff, as seen in the recently leaked image. It's unclear whether it's just costumes and props, or whether it'll be an MGS4-style pack, with levels and maybe an extra gameplay addition. We know what we're hoping for.

I'd like to hope it will be a MGS level pack, but lately, it's been all stickers and costumes, and nothing much else.
I am still hoping that the ice hazard shows up one day as well.
InFaMoUs1- @ Jun 5th 2009 5:26PM
Whatever happened to Play Create Share?
I'm so tired of MediaMolecule selling out their brand just so they can milk some cash off other games likeness and characters.
MediaMolecule is so busy pumping out this kind of licensed bullshit that they cant even create content that is of their own other than the Monster packed which contained a million stickers of eyes.
User Generated levels are great but most of them are just so lacking of what the Story levels have.
Lieutenant Gunther (PSN: helghast102) @ Jun 5th 2009 6:16PM
erm, did you not get the MGS pack...?
InFaMoUs1- @ Jun 5th 2009 6:18PM
hell yeah I did but that was in December! its been 5 months since we have gotten any real levels from MM. 5 months of the same thing over and over again. Costumes are one thing but they should at least release some original content to go along with it like levels or levels based off these games.
Lieutenant Gunther (PSN: helghast102) @ Jun 5th 2009 6:43PM
Im guessing it takes a while with licensing and development time etc.
but i would love to see more frequent level packs (one every 1-2 months?)
InFaMoUs1- @ Jun 5th 2009 6:45PM
yeah that's what i want also more levels i could care less if it's licensed or not
Residentevil72501 (PSN: rankore) @ Jun 5th 2009 7:05PM
You must be playing different levels that I am...... Check out the Deadspace one specifically its amazing.
InFaMoUs1- @ Jun 5th 2009 7:09PM
Oh yeah I'm not dissing user generated levels. I played ALOT of great ones and that's one of them but I also have to admit I love MM levels just as much. I played through the Story levels with different friends 3 times and it's always a blast.
CH3BURASHKA @ Jun 5th 2009 5:26PM
I loved SotC, but the comical nature of LBP is not appropriate I think. At least they are getting publicity and awareness for the Last Guardian.
I would much rather have a kitty dragon mask.
Michelobius @ Jun 5th 2009 6:25PM
It wouldn't be appropriate to have LBP content in SotC, but I think nearly anything can gain value by adding a comic slant. Just look at that teaser video. I laughed out loud, I love SotC, and if you can't laugh at your favorite stuff you might just be too stodgy.
CH3BURASHKA @ Jun 5th 2009 6:48PM
Maybe, but I'm very protective of things I love, and I think sacred things should remain untouched. Sometimes I remind myself of Holden Caulfield.
Michelobius @ Jun 6th 2009 2:12AM
To me though, parodying SotC in this way is celebratory and complimentory. It adds some silliness to the existing concept without disrupting its foundation. I can see how one would get defensive over a "Zero Punctuation" type satire (I myself got really pissed off at his review of Valkyria Chronicles) where the satire ends up poking holes in the source material, but LBP is nothing but wholesome fun.
pete @ Jun 5th 2009 5:30PM
This really, really needs to be a game pack. I'm jonesing for some more Mm-created levels, MGS-style.
Hukuzo @ Jun 5th 2009 5:43PM
It's bad enough I don't have a PS3 yet. Now there's more of a reason to get LittleBigPlanet.
Mu93n @ Jun 5th 2009 6:26PM
'bought god damn time :-D
Game_playa @ Jun 5th 2009 9:15PM
Really? Where can I buy some?
Ashitaka @ Jun 6th 2009 3:26PM
well played, game-playa xD
steven(PSN: small_hands) @ Jun 5th 2009 6:39PM
hopefully this is another big DLC pack if it were Im sure it will create more of a stir and bring people back to lbp just like the MGS pack did. Didnt Mm say they had a big patch coming up? Either way Mm will get my money once again, Im a LBP costume whore :-( I cant help myself. I have faith that the LBP comunity will put this to use if it is more stickers and materials but I really do hope this is another level pack where we have to earn the stickers it just caters to the creator and player crowd. Heres to hoping!
Alex @ Jun 5th 2009 7:43PM
Needs:
Climbing surface (material or similar to set on fire/electricity) that the player can grab and freely move around on (shadow of the colossus style)
maybe bow/arrows that will stick to objects and add a grabbable area (so it stick into it and then you can climb them)
ive also designed a grappling hook that sticks to soft objects, pushed hard objects, activates paint switches/grab switches, and swings like worms Armageddon's grappling hook (hold r1 to grab, dpad to reel in/out, right stick to aim, left to swing)
also a gravity modifier in the environment settings (where the darkness, fog setting are) to control how much gravity there is (then you can use the global change settings thing that came with the level creation pack and change/reverse gravity on the fly)
A water material (just something that looks like water) it doesn't have to really work, buoyancy wise, but that would be better than blue gas
the only think limiting the sack people is their movement, so if we can have them go anywhere, jump any height, go any speed, then we can make any level, and toggle what the sack person can do within the level's requirements
I have lots of creative levels if anyone wants to check em out, I just recently made one, assault the weapon factory, where you must run across rooftops, and catwalks, Metal slug style, and destroy everything in your way.
Features:
-smart, aiming baddies (360degrees)
-multiple paths, all destructable
-puzzles, not just mindless shooting

i'll definitely get this dlc right away. i want a disc changer for my ps3, i haven't played lbp in over a week or more because i don't feel like changing disc. i'm spoiled by demos, betas, and psn games.
8-bit.artist @ Jun 5th 2009 9:50PM
how can someone be this freaking lazy?
MariusElijah (Only on PlayStation 3) @ Jun 5th 2009 10:29PM
me too, I have inFamous in, and im to lazy to change it, so i just go to the U2 beta
C-Onor @ Jun 6th 2009 4:24AM
@MariusElijah it's the exact same situation with me!
Hxczuner (PSN i.d) @ Jun 6th 2009 10:15PM
I love having games on the hard drive. I wish there was a full install option for disc-based games.
advil @ Jun 8th 2009 10:21AM
This makes me laugh... only because companies think we want to get up and move around and be interactive while playing games. It's total opposite with me, and by the sounds of it, you as well.
The only moving around I want to do when I play is strumming and banging on plastic toys, or diddling triggers and thumb knobs. Any more than that, and I'll pass.
Same goes for changing disks... KZ2 hasn't been ejected for 2 months, so I'll go between that and demo's.
Letters2Kay @ Jun 6th 2009 2:55AM
You're welcome, Joystiq! :)
I'm hoping for a level pack, but I'll take whatever they throw at me...
AshStampede @ Jun 6th 2009 9:35AM
