Why is Link right-handed AGAIN?

It's a Wii game. And the majority of people are right handed. Maybe they'll implement something in this version that makes Link ambidextrous.

I heard that Link looked more adult in the picture, but he looks pretty much the same as in TP. And the girl is definitely Master Sword.

So I think we all have it established that the Great-Fairy-Look-Alike girl is the Master Sword. Her head to her dress is the hilt, with her neck being the handle, and the legs kinda curve in a little then widen like the Master Sword does. Great concept, honestly. Can't wait to see more.

But I wonder what the background is about?

Because in concept drawings they showed environments relative to the game. I wonder what all that red could be. Why DOES Link look menacing? Here's what I think.

I think the brown on the sides can signify the earth. It does look mountainous and rock-like so the fact that its ground is logical. But what about the red? Could it be that Link's going underground towards the center of the earth? Could Link even be going to hell? I mean it could explain why Link looks a little evil here. And I doubt its just a fire temple or something like that. They don't usually show that stuff off in the very first concept art.

I just wanna bring more hype to this game. I have a serious feeling about this game that its going to blow everybody's mind the way Ocarina of Time did when it first came out. I don't know why, but I have that feeling.

Its Zelda, and yes one picture deserves so much hype.

My initial thought was Death Mountain. I wouldn't mind getting back to a Wii-realized version of Hyrule.

the girl is a grown up version of the one from wind waker who gives you something.. i forget what. but you have to warp via a tornado/hurracne thing into her domain on mother/child isle....

Fooey. I was hoping they'd go Final Fantasy on us and introduce a high-tech Hyrule.

This looks like an interesting concept nonetheless, and the shield DOES look oddly smooth.

What I love about Zelda, is that it is one of the few franchises that still has a fully fantasy universe. So Zelda becoming like Final Fantasy is my biggest nightmare... =(

The more I look at this Link, the more I think of OoT Link, instead of Twilight Princess. Sure, some of the same elements are there (brown shirt under the green Tunic), but he just looks more Ocarina of Time-ish to me. Eh, maybe I'm just hoping too much.

What I'm really wondering is why the girl/sword/thing has a golden hourglass figure, no pun intended, under that cloak of hers. If you look close enough, you can see it. Maybe (hoping against hope here), it really has something to do with OoT?

Didn't link have a traveling-buddy that was a bird-hat? What if this is the same kinda deal; only it's sword-girl.

Now I'm imagining a game where all the talking objects from all the Legend of Zelda games come together; the boat from Windwaker, the hat from Minish Cap, Navi, Midna,Tingle....... it might just be very annoying that it could work.

Ok, I haven't played Twilight Princess in a while so sorry if this is inaccurate. I think it looks like one of those Ooccoo things that live in the sky. Only, more human like.

But when have they ever been logical?

Spoilers: The girl is a boy who is princess Zelda in disguise.

Also, isn't this the same thing people said when we first saw Midna? People made diagrams showing how her design looked like the Master Sword...

Legend of Zelda: Sword Maiden?

I wonder how it would work, if the thing you kill moblins and octoroks with is a living person? Would she be considered a warrior too?

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that maybe there's no fighting, or that defending is a main tactic.

Perhaps you're defending whoever the girl is?

Pissed me off too. If they used the motion plus left hand link may be hard to use. Since our left hands (as right handers) is not as easily controlled and if we kept it in our right hands (wii remote) it might not be controllable. None the less to see link right handed, again is very annoying.

I don't like the theories that she's a "sword" so to speak, but I believe it's definitely on the right track considering Link's lack of a weapon in hand. I'd be more inclined to say she's a fighter under Links control (not in the "brainwashed" way, just that she's working with him).

Either that, or she is simply an ally in the game and Nintendo didn't show any weapon because that might be too much of a spoiler at this point, leading me to speculate a new offensive tool at Link's disposal. I would personally dig a "hookshot" combined with a "sword". It could generate some wicked spin moves and long distance attacks (at least longer than a normal sword, not quite "bow and arrow' distances.)

The crystal shape on her chest doesn't just resemble the one on the Master Sword. It's also the shape (and roughly the same colour) of the crystals in which Aganhim trapped the maidens in A Link to the Past.

This is pretty awesome. I wouldn't have guessed at what she was without reading what everyone else said first, but now that I've noticed it she definitely looks like an anthropomorphic representation of the Master Sword.

Although you guys are taking it way too literally. She doesn't have a "handle", she's a person. But her design has pretty much all the elements taken from the design of the sword. The jewel, the wings of the hilt, the blade (her hair/bonnet thing is silver, metallic, and pointy), the criss-cross pattern from the handle (which is on her legs, not her neck. Her neck is not the handle. There is no handle!)

Can't wait for more info.

well with this pic you can see on thing for sure and that is the torso of the "girl" looks like the middle of the master sword (part between the blade and the handle) and the way you can tell this is the large gem in the center of her body so by knowing this simple fact there are two things that can be said about the upcoming zelda game that the story will have that "girl" coming in contact with link almost like the ghost creature who follows link in twilight princess and the way she became like this was some evil creature atacked her village and killed her along with the other villegers and her soul runing away thinking that she is still alive then she tries to find a place to hide from the evil creatures and becomes lost then eventually she comes in contact with the master sword and she touches it amazment and is sucked into th sword and once she is sucked into the sword the sword breaks into three pieces and she inhabets the middle piece and then tell link that some power drew her to him and then the story goes on from there like a normal zelda game or (2nd possibility) that it is just a picture and is and that we are all over reacting to it
