Reading back through the comments;

I am surprised to see so many people with 20gb hard drives. If your drive is full with crappy Rock Bands tracks, then simply buy the game on disc? It is a non-issue. Last-generation consoles didn't even have hard drives and they somehow managed, it was this wonderful technology called physical media. It's not going away anytime soon, so pull the stick out your ass and quit whining.

For the record, I bought a 360 elite bundle for $400, a $100 premium over the standard version. Came with a hard drive twice as a large and Halo 3 and Fable II, games which can range from about $40-60. How did I get ripped off by MS in this equation?

Not all the tracks on Rock Band are available on disc versions.

Why would we spend new game prices for games to be on our hd, when we can pay less to buy them used and resell them towards newer games at used game stores? I just dont see this as a smart move.
Now, if they had it on demand, like $15 a month to play any amount of games you choose, I would enjoy that.

No thanks, I like not having to download everything- I'd rather have a disc.

I wonder if this will be available Worldwide, or limited to just the United States?

If it is available worldwide it would be a fantastic way to increase sales.

Has Microsoft mentioned restrictions?

i dont agree with any of you,, half of you have no idea what your talking about, first off the xbox HDD can be changed to fit lapout HDD by simply taking off the casing, look it up on you tube there instruction and everything you need, second the casing was designed with speed in mind, the HDD the 360 uses can transffer data alot faster than PS3, simply test this yourself (if you own both like i) install GTA4 or any game with a long loading sequence on to the 360 HDD and play them on both PS3 & 360 and discide i really hate that lately it seems that alot of dumb a$$es have been bashing 360, did i miss somthing, last i chked MS has been quickly scooping up sony third party titles left and right and is up 8 million consoles sold...PS3 may be the more powerful console but that didnt seem to matter last gen wen xbox 1 was the more powerful over PS2, yet ps2 went on to out sell it.... i say 70% of all ps3 owners are fanboyz power dosent seem to be the case here i think its the thought of sony finally losing the console wars

hell yea this page iz filled with fan boyism, MS offers tha best value, every pro comes with a headset ethernet cord for routers,hd av cords and elite tha same plus HDMI cords, i bought a ps3 with noway of being able to take advantage of the HD with tha standard av cables provided, and no 1 on PSN has headsets, just about every game i play is in complete silence other game sound i totally agree with you! If you can download full games and play without a disk, WHY WON'T THEY LET ME DO THAT WITH GAMES I ALREADY OWN AND CAN DOWNLOAD TO HD? They still make me insert disc. This IS STUPID.

I purchased a 60 GB HDD in preparation for stuff like this. Although, I mainly did it to install games to the HDD instead of letting my disc run. I have about 30 GB left, I need to purchase another 360 anyways so I'll probably opt for the 120 GB one.
