Now, this is certainly interesting. Comparing this preview with Destructoid's, you find two very different takes on the controls: love it here, hate it on Destructoid. I'm one to go with Joystiq's impressions on this one, as the belief in the control scheme being great is the same as what I've been hearing elsewhere. Then again, the 'toid seems to have a few bloggers that are on the "anti-Wii" side. lol...

Personally, I can't wait for this game to come out. Not having a 360, I missed the first Overlord, and wanted to play it ever since. I also love the twisted Cinderella story that
Codemasters is working at. Its a bit of delicious irony that is just malicious enough to tickle my funny bone (not to mention the great writer they have for the game's story/script). Looking forward to this game coming out!

I'm with you on that one. Definitely one I've been waiting to try out.

Is that using the Dungeon Siege engine, or something earlier? Difficult to tell...

LOL... In case you aren't kidding... he's got it raised and appears to be holding axe over his shoulder.

I wasn't, I'm just used to other systems where if something is happening the graphics show it, as opposed to the Wii where it's really up to your imagination.

@Vegna: On PS3/60 you wouldn't have been able to see the arm at all for all the motion blur and HDR lighting...

Hopefully this will turn out on the 'Okami' side of Wii ports, where it's pretty different, but they're all trade offs. Very little is 'better or worse' on either side. The alternative being Dead Rising, which is practically nothing but worse.
