You know as far as summer's go this one has had some really good releases right at the top of it. INfamous was great, Prototype comes out tomorrow, and Ghostbusters could be a lot of fun. I really hope publishers can try to get stuff out besides Christmas time...but man that subject has been beat to death I guess.

Ghostbusters is a Day 1 buy for me. Prototype and Fuel I will GameFly and if they are good enough I will "Keep" them....saving $20 on a brand new game...lol

Picked up Red Faction last week, haven't played anything else since.
Ghostbusters sounds fun, but I'm gonna wait for the reviews until I pick it up. Same with Prototype.

Its a good game, but it's a Volition game, which means, at some point, you're going to be doing a mission, just about to pull it off and something random is going to happen that will completely blow it for you, have you chucking the controller across the room, and screaming at the machine.
And then you'll wait through the load screen to do it again.

Nothing really good this month either. I can't decide whether prototype is a buy or not, so for the first time I guess I'll take advantage of Gamestop's borked used game policy and return it within 7 days for a full refund.
Then I guess I'll save up for a refurbished 120gb hard drive. They're like $100 compared to $150 for a new one. Still a shitty deal, but it's not like I have a ton of choices here.

DUDE Ep.2 is the best H-L since the first game... It brings Half-Life back from just "good" to "awesome."... I mean, I liked H-L 2 and Ep.1, but neither compare to Ep.2... they are required reading so to speak, but Ep.2 is where the story from H-L2's world really starts to pick up.
Let's put it this way: When I finihsed H-L2, I didn't really care what happened next. When I played through Ep.1, I felt like maybe it was going somewhere, that it should have been a few hours longer. Wheich leads to Ep.2, which brings the story up to a whole new level and makes you go "awwww shiiieet."
Yeah... I can't wait for Ep.3, if you haven't figured that out. Go play Ep.2.

i'm not as excited for some games as i was before. i was pumped for fight night but after the initial fun of beating up ricky hatton in boardwalk hall, which i use to live a block away from, i might wait. ghost busters could be fun but i'm not super excited for that either. maybe my enthusiasm is lower now because i just got a couple bills in the mail

If I wasn't on "video game detox" for the whole month, I'd probably pick up Prototype and The Conduit. As it stands, My buddy is picking up Prototype, so I'll watch him play it (read: play it vicariously through him).
Definitely picking up The Conduit after the month is over, unless the reviews are horrible. I'm gonna pick it up even if they are low to mediocre. I think it looks great.
