Oh wait ... none of that happened! So what if we just passed out during the keynote and dreamt it all? But we did wake up with that gunblade in our hands, so, maybe not? It remains a mystery. Nintendo did, however, drop a trailer and artwork for the game soon after its presser had concluded which we're presenting to you here. Get your world beginning on, in trailer form, just above.

It will not be another DISASTER if it actually shows up in America and Europe.

New IP? What blasphemy is this?
Maybe this will be like Pikmin and SSB4 will have another swordfighter in it.

I dunno... I played Disaster and I honestly didn't like it very much. I felt that it tried to do way too much. One time you're running away from lava, the next you're shooting people, then you're trying to escape a building falling apart... while trying to shoot people... It doesn't sound so bad on paper, but Monolith Soft's execution was horrible, and it became one of the sloppiest experiences on Wii yet. I wouldn't call Americans unfortunate for missing Disaster at all.

Because they did? Remember, you don't just need a certain number of core games they also have to be good too.

"So you're saying Nintendo DID win?"
What? You asked why is everyone saying 360/ps3 won E3 and I said because they did....err technically one of them did.

If you only thought there was 2 good games betewen the other 2 companies, you are as big of a nintendo fanboy as they come (not that we didn't alreay know this). It's like you counting this as one of the good games when this looks like a generic ps2 jrpg.

HOORAY.
Sorry man i just wanted to see you say Generic.
Yeah i do count this as one of the games, thanks a lot to what seems to be turn-based battles with real-time movement. I'm a Nintendo fanboy yes, only because everything they've done in the last 3 years has been gaming gold. 24 years of gaming, owning almost every console ever, and i'm happier with the Wii than any other console i have ever owned. I'll be getting a 360 too for the upscaling of DVDs on my big-screen as well as the A+ exclusives, but the Wii (and to a slightly lesser extent, my high-end PC) will always be the center of my gaming until something better comes along.

I dunno, Nintendo had a lot this year. I don't really care about Galaxy 2 too much, but a ton of people do. I'm very much looking forward to NSMBWii, and Other M looks far more appealing to me than the Prime series. This game looks awesome as well. Nintendo had a pretty promising showing this year.
Sony's motion controllers, though, as ugly as they are, that demo.... single handedly did win. Nintendo brought the games this year (without them all having been leaked beforehand), but that tech demo with the robot fighting the skeletons... I'm gonna go watch it right now...

That is surprising to me to say the least. I would have thought you'd been gaming for 3 years after you said that.

@tmac
Dude, seriously. What is with all of your comments here? Assuming the "87" in your name refers to your year of birth, don't you think it's time to act your age? Most of us have moved onto more productive things than trolling articles devoted to games and/or consoles we don't own or otherwise dislike. I'd understand your behavior here if you were advertising your IQ, but I hope that's not the case.

No, tmac, it was an honest question. Sorry you weren't able to answer it with a real answer, but it WAS more or less the expected one. ;) And no tears here; you make me laugh - derisively even - but not enough to make me cry. Thanks for the concern, though. Have fun with, uh, that empty, fruitless thing you love to do so much here. Love ya! Never change!

Speaking of generic, am I the only one whose noticed tmac has fallen into a rut? its like Soda Popinski, you might be surprised the 1st time you see him but after you realize all you have to do is dodge right, it becomes the easiest fight in the game.

Sony had some very good games, given their pedigree: FFXIV, Last Guardian, and God of War III. Uncharted 2 might be good. I'm not a fan of racing games so Modnation and GT5 have no appeal for me, although GT5 has again a pedigree. Modnation is a who knows.
Agent and MAG have potential, but no one can say they should be very good games.
The PSP games at the Sony all looked familiar but certainly solid titles. A strong showing overall, arguably the strongest by virtue of the PSP lineup.
Nintendo reveals several pedigree core games: Metroid, Galaxy, NSMBW, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and Golden Sun. I think Dead Space: Extraction is probably going to do well, but it's not certain. The others have potential but aren't certainties: Red Steel 2, Monado, The Conduit. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
Depending on what type of core games you like, either of these lineups seems very good. I'd argue that, based on the conferences, Sony's was stronger but not overwhelmingly. And if I look at other Wii and DS games at E3 but not at the conference, I see more games that interest me--Sakura Wars, Fragile, Shiren the Wanderer. FF:Crystal Bearers are very good looking games.
I saw games for every platform that look good. You'd have to be a fanboy to say otherwise. Arguing who "won" E3 is pretty asinine. Last year, Nintendo had a horrible E3 yet they still outsold the PS3 and 360.

I gotta agree. Looks like PS2 to me, or at least the later games on the system. I own a Wii, and there are SEVERAL games that look loads better than this, so I am not blaming Nintendo. This is just a case of a company making an ugly game, probably using the Wii's graphical prowess as an excuse to do this. Still, I will probably play the hell out of it if it comes to the states... sigh...

I gotta agree with Jerk Face on some parts here. I ain't dissing the Wii because we all know what it is and has been capable of. The game to me really does look like a PS2 title. Again, blaming Nintendo for this isn't the right thing. We really must consider more the time developers take to work on the Wii and understand its full potential. If I want a good looking RPG, I'll play some of those 360 ports on PC from Square Enix or something. We must also remember graphics aren't everything. I bet Sony fanboys still rave on how good FF12 looked. And indee, the game does look good. When I played it, I thought it played good too. If this game plays well,, it should do well, no? I hope it does, because we do need new IPs once in a while. There isn't any harm in that.
