Massively refreshing: WoW Mountain Dew now available, with bonus in-game pet

Pepsico announced that its World of WarCraft-branded Game Fuel beverages are available this month, and will be in stores "through the summer." So if you're in the US and want to drink things that are packaged in a bottle with the logo of a game you like on them, head to your local grocery store.

To celebrate the launch of WoW Game Fuel, Blizzard will open a site at www.warcraft.com/dew, where downloadable 14-day trials of the game can be found for new players, and a free downloadable in-game pet called a "Battle Bot" can be found for existing players. The Battle Bot has a speaker on the top of its head that constantly blasts guitar solos and the phrase "DO THE DEW!!!" (It doesn't.)

Mountain Dew will also give away items like laptops, various peripherals, and Game Fuel-branded merchandise every 15 minutes.

I don't know about you but I go to taco bell way more now that they have baja blast.. More mt. dew flavors is always good.

My local Wal-Mart had both flavors in 20oz. The Horde flavor is exactly the same as the Halo 3 Game Fuel, while the Alliance flavor is a new Fruit Punch flavor. A someone who has been slowly drinking his reserves of the Halo 3 Game Fuel, I can tell you that the Horde flavor is IDENTICAL to the original. It is nice to actually get crisp, fresh new stock though because the Halo 3 stuff has lost a bit of its punch over the last year or so. At least it was still drinkable.

The best part is that they parsed the name of the soda on the bottle so that current-generation kids that have grown up with internet grammar understand what it is because they have never seen the word 'mountain' spelled out before

As far as I've been able to tell, you sign up to be spammed and they'll eventually send you the code for it (regardless of participation).

I'll stick with my Falcon Punch, thanks.

As near as I can tell the bonus in-game pet is not actually available at this moment. In fact, this site has been up for like a month, your sister website WoW.com reported of it on May 9th. Kinda slow there joystiq. >_>

I liked the Halo stuff, but the blue is just nasty.

It's too bad they didn't just call it Nuka Cola Quantum. That's the first thing that came to mind when I saw that image.

this has been in stores around me for over a week. The red is the same as Halo3 Gamefuel and the blue reminds me of Baja Blast and Revolution mixed with a slight Punch flavor.

When you mix them it creates a tasty dark green that I can't help but think they intended.
