If there is one fault we'd have to say most chairs possess nowadays, it's that they're just too darn stationary. Well, they used to be, anyway, as some ingenious gentlemen have come up with a cool chair mod in what they have affectionately dubbed The Beancat, a labor of love that incorporates the Wii's Nunchuk controller into a device that not only controls Mario on-screen, but also keeps you from having to get up when you want to grab a drink from the fridge.
The chair itself moves a lot faster than we would have imagined, and looks like it isn't the toughest thing in the world to build, though you should know it isn't the cheapest mod in the world should you be on the lookout for some bean bag-infused thrills of your own. Head past the break to check out some video of it in action, and be sure to hit the source link below if you've got the courage to build one of your own.
Just to point out, this was not created by Nintendo. It was created by Edwin Wood & Andrew Murphy of Monkey Wrench Designs (www.mwdes.com). They are simply two engineers that have no affiliation with NoA whatsoever.
This was posted on Engadget by one of the creators, it answers your question

As one of the two co-creators of the Beancat, I can offer a few answers. The name was simply a play on the Caterpillar brand, since the steering is similar to that of many small landscaping vehicles. It turns by speeding up one side of the drive as opposed to having a steering linkage and mechanism.
It does actually steer nicely, when fully operational. The reason the videos are all so loopy is such: The wheels are driven by motors geared down with sprockets. We actually busted a chain on the second day (it usually sees much more abusive riders- i.e. adults who may or may not have been drinking) and so the thing was actually only driving in circles. The kids didn't care, though, so we just let them keep going until the batteries gave out. Unfortunately the only video that seems ti be around is from day 2...
The accelerometer is not used in this version- the next one will. We actually think it would be really fun(ny) to use the wii steering wheel, so that it is completely wireless."
With two arm rests, one of which will have a cup/drink holder, this would be perfect. The only possible way it could get better would be if the drink holder actually keeps the drink cool.
I would love to ride one of these to the local corner store, actually lock it up like a bike, and go inside to buy some drinks.
